The thermally insulating barrier including a plurality of insulating panels juxtaposed in a regular pattern, two adjacent insulating panels defining an inter-panel space, the inter-panel space including an outer portion and an inner portion superposed in the direction of the thickness of the thermally insulating barrier, the outer portion being suitable for being situated close to the load-bearing structure and the inner portion being close to the inside of the tank, the tank further including insulating seals, the insulating seals including two outer insulating seals, the said outer insulating seals being arranged juxtaposed in the outer portion of the inter-panel space so that they have two adjacent edges, and an inner insulating seal, the inner insulating seal being arranged in the inner portion of the inter-panel space.
CRYOGENIC FULL CONTAINMENT STORAGE TANK FOR REALIZING LOW-LIQUID-LEVEL MATERIAL EXTRACTION FUNCTION BY USING PUMP COLUMN
A cryogenic full containment storage tank for realizing a low-liquid-level material extraction function by using a pump column, comprising an inner tank, an outer tank, a pump column, a submersible pump and a material pre-extraction device; wherein the material pre-extraction device comprises a cofferdam, a Venturi mixer, a backflow pipe, a return control valve, a lead-out pipeline and a liquid level detection system. The cryogenic full containment storage tank can make use of a low-temperature medium flowing back from the pump column to extract the low liquid level material outside the cofferdam into the cofferdam to form a local high liquid level and maintain the normal operation of the submersible pump.
Tank state estimation method and tank state estimation program
A tank state estimating method of estimating a state in a tank at a predetermined point in time on a sailing course of an LNG carrier is provided. The LNG carrier carrying LNG stored in the tank as a cargo. The tank state estimating method includes: a first step of acquiring information related to specification of the tank; a second step of acquiring information related to a state in the tank at a start point of a target section on the course; a third step of acquiring information on a predictive value of liquid fluctuation of the LNG in the tank during the section, the predictive value being obtained on a basis of a weather forecasting value during the section and information on the weather forecasting value; and a fourth step of calculating the state in the tank at an end point of the section by thermal transfer calculation based on thermodynamics on a basis of the information acquired in the first to third steps in assuming that a heat input to the tank during the section is used for vaporization of the LNG in the tank.
Method and facility for storing and distributing liquefied hydrogen
The invention relates to a method for storing and distributing liquefied hydrogen using a facility that comprises a store of liquid hydrogen at a predetermined storage pressure, a source of hydrogen gas, a liquefier comprising an inlet connected to the source and an outlet connected to the liquid hydrogen store, the store comprising a pipe for drawing liquid, comprising one end connected to the liquid hydrogen store and one end intended for being connected to at least one mobile tank, the method comprising a step of liquefying hydrogen gas supplied by the source and a step of transferring the liquefied hydrogen into the store characterized in that the hydrogen liquefied by the liquefier and transferred into the store has a temperature lower than the bubble temperature of hydrogen at the storage pressure.
Hydrostatically Compensated Compressed Gas Energy Storage System
A compressed gas energy storage system may include an accumulator for containing a layer of compressed gas atop a layer of liquid. A gas conduit may have an upper end in communication with a gas compressor/expander subsystem and a lower end in communication with accumulator interior for conveying compressed gas into the compressed gas layer of the accumulator when in use.
