LOW-PRESSURE GAS BURNER
A burner for combusting low pressure gas includes: an outer wall configured as a venturi including a lower end, a mid throat section, and an upper end, the lower end being bell shaped and the upper end further including an upper end inner diameter; and a nozzle configured to receive and deliver a low-pressure gas stream, the nozzle having an opening into the lower end.
NICKEL-BASED ALLOY WITH A SLURRY COATING, WITH HIGH RESISTANCE TO METAL DUSTING
A nickel-based alloy is coated with a silicate based nickel aluminide slurry diffusion coating.
Two-stage combustor
A two-stage combustor having as constituent parts: a partial oxidation reactor, which catalytically converts a hydrocarbon fuel and a first supply of oxidant into a gaseous partial oxidation product; and a deep oxidation reactor having a premixer plenum fluidly connected to a porous heat spreader, which converts the gaseous partial oxidation product to deep oxidation products. In one embodiment, the premixer plenum provides an empty space wherein combustion occurs in flame mode. In a second embodiment, the premixer plenum contains a high pore density foam matrix, absent catalyst, which facilitates holding a flameless combustion downstream within the porous heat spreader. In both embodiments heat produced during combustion is transmitted from the heat spreader to an associated heat acceptor, such as a heater head of a Stirling engine.
REACTOR AND PROCESS FOR PARTIAL OXIDATION
A process of partial oxidation is performed in a reactor which includes a reaction chamber and a burner assembly, wherein: the burner assembly has a single oxidant nozzle located within an fuel channel, said oxidant nozzle comprises a nozzle pipe and a nozzle outlet, the nozzle pipe and the fuel channel are arranged to produce a diffusion flame, the nozzle outlet has a shape with two or more elongate lobes projecting from a center of the nozzle pipe.
Gas-fired infrared burner
A gas-fired, powered infrared burner unit comprising a perforate distribution plate configured as a tray and a porous foam metal burner element carried in the tray, the combination overlying the open top of a plenum box and sealingly fastened to an edge flange of said box by a retainer having a surrounding flange fastened to the plenum box flange by welding, staking or other means so as to eliminate the need for a gasket. The foam metal medium is constructed of a foam metal alloy to have a pore size of 1000 micros±5%, and produce, along with the perforations in the distribution tray, a port loading of between about 850 and 1,000 BTU/in.sup.2.
Immersion-type burner heater and molten-metal holding furnace
An immersion-type burner heater includes a heater protection tube that is installed so as to penetrate a furnace wall or an upper lid of the molten-metal holding furnace with the tip end thereof being closed; an inner cylindrical member arranged inside the tube so as to define a combustion flow passage S between the tube and itself with the tip end side thereof being open and the inside thereof serving as an exhaust gas flow passage; and a gas burner part supplying fuel gas and air to the combustion flow passage. A helically extending projecting part is provided on at least one of the outer peripheral surface of the member and the inner peripheral surface of the tube at a position that is closer to its tip end side than to the part penetrating the furnace wall or the upper lid.
Gas burner and hob comprising a gas burner
The invention relates to a gas burner comprising: an injection holder (2) with a gas injector (2.1); a burner body (3) adapted to be arranged at the injection holder (2), the burner body (3) comprising an opening (3.1) for enabling a gas flow from said gas injector (2.1) and a primary air flow in an area above said burner body (3); a burner cap (4) adapted to be arranged at the top side of the burner body (3), the burner cap (4) comprising a bottom portion (4.1) and a circumferential surface portion (4.2) protruding downwardly from said bottom portion (4.1), wherein the circumferential surface portion (4.2) comprises a plurality of flame ports (4.3) and said burner body (3) and said burner cap (4) confine a chamber (5) for providing a combustion mixture of gas and primary air; wherein the burner body (3) comprises a bulge-shaped protrusion (3.5) forming a continuous ridge below the burner cap (4) at least in the area in which the flame ports (4.3) are provided, said bulge-shaped protrusion (3.5) reducing the distance between the burner cap (4) and the burner body (3) in the area of the flame ports (4.3).
BURNER AND WATER HEATER
Provided are a burner and a water heater. The burner comprises multiple flame splitters, and each of the flame splitters is provided with at least three ejector pipes, and the multiple flame splitters are arranged parallel to one another; a fastener penetrates through the multiple flame splitters and connects the multiple flame splitters into a flame row; and compressing members are arranged at end parts where the fastener extends relative to the flame row, and the compressing members compress the flame row. The burner is integrally installed, easy to operate and firmly fixed, the combustion intensity can also be increased, the emission of nitrogen oxides is reduced, and the safety of use is ensured.
Magnetically secured burner cap
A domestic gas cooking appliance for heating a food item is provided. The domestic cooking appliance includes a top sheet; a burner body on the top sheet, the burner body having an upwardly extending riser pin; a gas supply line that supplies gas to the burner body; and a burner cap positioned above the burner body and resting on the riser pin such that a pin receiving area contacts the riser pin. One of the riser pin and the pin receiving area comprises a magnet, and the other of the riser pin and the pin receiving area comprises a ferrous material.
INFRARED RADIATION EMITTER
The disclosure relates to a gas-heated infrared radiation emitter comprising at least one radiating screen, which is for example made of ceramic and/or metal, in the form of at least one plate comprising a lower main surface and an upper main surface that are distant from each other, and a plurality of through-prisms, which are preferably hollow, extending from the lower main surface to the upper main surface, each prism being defined by a polygonal base and by an axis.
