Systems, apparatus, and methods for treating waste materials
A pyrolytic converter for treating waste materials has an elongated oven that has different channels. The different channels share the length of the elongated oven and divided to occupy different portions of a cross section of the oven. The pyrolytic converter also has a heating source that is configured to supply heat to a portion of the waste materials located within a channel at a specific temperature and to supply heat to another portion of the waste materials located within a different channel at a different temperature.

Rapid compression apparatus for treatment of moisture-containing bio-material
An apparatus, a system, and a method for heat treating a moisture-containing or water-laden material are provided. The heat treatment can be drying for dehydration, gasification, or full carbonization. The system comprises a feeding mechanism, and a rapid compression unit (RCU) apparatus having a screw, a barrel, and one or more flow disrupters. The system can further include a reflux condenser, an aftercooler stage, a second condenser for particle filtering, and an exit mechanism. The one or more flow disrupters are located on an inner surface of the barrel and project into the passageway created by the screw and the barrel. The screw is sized to fit within the barrel such that flow disrupter does not contact the screw. The one or more flow disrupters cause the water-laden material to fold over onto its self, thereby, allowing for the occurrence of more uniform drying.

The axis of the dragging spindle is equipped with mixing blades which conform a mixing spindle with a direction of advance opposite to that one of the dragging spindle.

One type of biomass reactor system comprises a plurality of biomass processing stations configured in series, each station comprising an auger reactor including an auger inlet for receiving biomass and a transfer screw for conveying the biomass through the auger reactor.

A soil remediation unit that changes the use and purpose of certain commercially available aggregate mixing devices and or pug mills for removing unwanted contaminants from a quantity of contaminated soil aggregate or substrate which includes a canopy and a burner tube attached to the canopy. The burner tube includes an upper securing element and a lower adjustment element. The soil remediation unit also includes a burner supported in a desired position within the burner tube by the upper securing element and the lower adjustment element.

Pyrolysis process for simultaneously conveying and agitating cracking feedstock within a screw
A pyrolysis process is incorporated with a pyrolysis furnace in the process. The pyrolysis furnace comprises an upper screw and a lower screw juxtaposed to the upper screw to smoothen the thermal cracking process, with each blade helically formed on the screw shaft being notched in the periphery of the screw blade to form a plurality of bifurcated fins on the blade, such that besides the conveying of feedstock in the screw as driven by the blade, the bifurcated fins may serve as agitating elements, thereby simultaneously conveying the feedstock and agitating the feedstock for increasing the production efficiency of the pyrolysis.
