Exhaust adapter, exhaust structure for water heater, and method for installing exhaust adapter
An exhaust adapter secures an exhaust tube relative to an exhaust pipe. The exhaust adapter is formed to have an annular shape enclosing a through hole, and is mounted on the outer peripheral surface of the exhaust tube and on the inner peripheral surface of the exhaust pipe by inserting the exhaust tube into the through hole. When the exhaust adapter is being fitted on the outer peripheral surface of the exhaust tube, the inner peripheral surface of the exhaust adapter presses the outer peripheral surface of the exhaust tube, and when the exhaust adapter is being fitted on the inner peripheral surface of the exhaust pipe, the outer peripheral surface of the exhaust adapter presses the inner peripheral surface of the exhaust pipe.

Throttled direct vent termination
A throttled vent termination or cap for use in conjunction with a direct vent appliance and venting system is provided. The direct vent termination includes an inner pipe and a concentric outer housing surrounding the inner pipe to form a void between the inner pipe and the outer housing. The void adapted to provide intake air to the air intake section of the vent system. An end cap is provided at a first end of the outer pipe, the inner pipe to the end cap and having an exhaust opening therein. An intake region is formed in the outer housing providing access to the void. A throttle cover which is configured to be movably positioned and thereafter secured at one of a number of positions over the intake region using a throttle guide is provided to thereby regulate air flow into the void.

Gas exchange termination system
The gas exchange termination assembly overcomes the affects of fluid turbulence caused by wind, drafts, and air pressure. The invention can be applied to gas burning devices under 4,000 BTU input. Turbulent flow of gases at the gas exchange termination assembly are mitigated by the location of slots and openings in the gas exchange termination assembly for both intake air and exhaust gases. The gas exchange termination assembly is connected, coaxially through the building structural wall, to a sealed combustion system in order that all gases are drawn from and return to the same general location (directly) outside the building. The gas exchange termination assembly includes an intake air hood for intake air with additional intake air openings, an exhaust pipe with slots and a plug to move products of combustion at angles to the concentric pipe as the intake and exhaust gases enter and exit.

Combustion apparatus
The present application discloses a combustion apparatus including: an air supply/exhaust port formed such that an air supply passage surrounds the outside of an exhaust passage; and an air supply port in which an air supply passage is formed. This combustion apparatus is configured such that in a case where this apparatus is installed in the double-pipe system, the air supply passage of the air supply port is closed, whereas in a case where it is installed in the separate-pipe system, the air supply passage of the air supply/exhaust port is closed. The combustion apparatus includes: a supplied-air temperature sensor; and a guide member, which is located near the air supply passage of the air supply/exhaust port or the air supply passage of the air supply port, and by which air flowing into the space in the housing is guided to the supplied-air temperature sensor.
Water heater
A water heater connectable to an external air supply and exhaust pipe includes a housing that houses a combustion device, a connecting portion, a first air supply and exhaust pipe, and a second air supply and exhaust pipe. The connecting portion includes an outer cylinder and an inner cylinder projecting upward from an upper surface of the housing. The first air supply and exhaust pipe and the second air supply and exhaust pipe are selectively connectable to the connecting portion. The first air supply and exhaust pipe is connectable to the connecting portion by interpolating a first air supply pipe into the outer cylinder and interpolating a first exhaust pipe into the inner cylinder, and the second air supply and exhaust pipe is connectable to the connecting portion by externally fitting a second air supply pipe onto the outer cylinder and interpolating a second exhaust pipe into the inner cylinder.
