A cooking appliance having a cooling system includes an oven; a cooktop provided at an upper side of the oven; an electrical component disposed in a front surface of the cooktop; a first cooling duct provided between a top surface of the oven and a bottom surface of the cooktop to communicate with a first suction port in a front surface of the oven; an exhaust duct disposed in a rear surface of the cooktop and connected to a rear end of the first cooling duct; a second cooling duct communicating with a second suction port in the front surface of the cooktop and provided inside the cooktop; and an exhaust fan disposed in a connecting section between the first cooling duct and the exhaust duct, wherein the second cooling duct is connected to the first cooling duct in a position closer to the exhaust duct than the electrical component.

A heating cooking apparatus includes a heating cooking chamber, a housing, a lid portion, a first circulation portion, a first blow-out port, and a guide portion. The heating cooking chamber further includes an opening. The housing accommodates the heating cooking chamber. The lid portion opens and closes the opening. The first circulation portion causes first air to circulate between an upper wall of the heating cooking chamber and an upper wall of the housing. When the lid portion opens the opening, the guide portion guides the first air blown out from the first blow-out port toward the opening.

Oven appliance with air curtain

An oven appliance includes a cooking chamber disposed within a housing with an opening in the housing for accessing the chamber. A casing is disposed around the opening, and the casing includes an air curtain outlet configured to prevent smoke and other vapors from escaping the cooking chamber to the ambient atmosphere via the opening.

Deflecting element for appliance doors

A deflecting element is arranged in an oven door and aligned adjacent the ventilation openings to inhibit accidental spills through the openings from fouling interior door components. The deflecting element can have a plurality of tiered blades with associated respective channels for guiding and accumulating spills. One or several of the blades can have an angled deflector portion for guiding overflow liquid to a subjacent blade, away from interior glass panels. When the oven door is rotated into an upright position, closed position, liquid accumulated in the respective channels is conducted to the lateral edges of the door, where it can be guided via ducts out the base of the door or otherwise collected in removable reservoirs.

Oven appliance

An air distribution assembly for an oven appliance is provided. The air distribution assembly includes an air distribution manifold mounted to a housing of the oven appliance at an opening of the housing. An air handler draws air into the air distribution manifold through a manifold inlet, circulates the air throughout the air distribution manifold, and discharges the air through a manifold outlet. A variety of cooling air flow paths may be defined within the air distribution manifold and/or oven appliance, thereby providing optimal cooling with a simplified construction.

An appliance includes a housing defining a cavity having an opening, and a cover member pivotable between open and closed positions with respect to the opening to selectively allow access to the cavity through the opening. A plurality of vents is engaged with the housing about the opening, including a positive pressure vent configured to direct a positive airflow in a first lateral cross-opening direction, a negative pressure vent configured to apply a suction in a second lateral cross-opening direction to pull at least a portion of the positive airflow therethrough, and opposing first and second neutral vents arranged laterally across the opening and configured to neutralize effects on and maintain the positive airflow from the positive pressure vent and pulled through the negative pressure vent by the applied suction caused by the cover member pivoting between open and closed positions. An associated apparatus and method are also provided.

The present invention relates to a cooking oven (10) including an oven cavity (12) and an oven door (14) for opening and closing a front opening of said oven cavity (12). The cooking oven (10) comprises at least one air duct (18) enclosing at least partially the oven cavity (12), wherein at least a part of the air duct (18) extends directly above a top wall (30) of the oven cavity (12). The cooking oven (10) comprises at least one fan (16) for generating an air stream (26) within the air duct (18) or at the air duct (18) and at least one ventilation flap (22) for deflecting downwards the air stream (26) leaving the air duct (18) above the oven cavity (12). The at least one opening (24) is formed in a horizontal front portion of the top wall (30) of the oven cavity (12), wherein said opening (24) connects the air duct (18) to the oven cavity (12). The opening (24) is closed by the ventilation flap (22) in the closed state of the oven door (14) and opened by the ventilation flap (22) in the opened state of the oven door (14), so that an air curtain (28) is formed within a front portion of the oven cavity (12) in the opened state of the oven door (14).
