Universal wireless HVAC controller with an internally stored infrared (IR) database
A wireless controller (200) is configured to send commands to a mini-split HVAC unit (100) that thermostatically controls a temperature in a space (50) using the temperature sensed and a programmable set point. The wireless controller (212) may include an infrared (IR) transmitter (208), a temperature sensor (210), a user interface (214), a non-volatile memory (202), and a controller (212). The wireless controller (200) may store an IR database in the non-volatile memory (202) for each of a wide variety of mini-split HVAC unit (100). The wireless controller (200) may then allow a user to select a particular mini-split HVAC unit (100), and from the selection may identify a corresponding IR protocol in the IR database. During subsequent use, the wireless controller (200) may use the corresponding IR protocol during subsequent communication with the mini-split HVAC unit (100).
System for personalized indoor microclimates
A network of wireless remote climate sensors in a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system permits the creation of personalized microclimates within an enclosed space. In addition to collecting temperature and humidity data, the wireless remote climate sensors can detect whether the enclosed space is occupied by a human. Human detection is made possible by optional cameras, microphones, and gas sensors on the wireless remote climate sensors. As the human moves throughout the enclosed space, the HVAC system is able to track the human's movement using the wireless remote climate sensors. The HVAC system may adjust airflow to different portions of the enclosed space based on the human's location. The result is an efficient use of system resources to keep users at their ideal temperature.

Systems and methods with variable mitigation thresholds
An indoor air quality (IAQ) system for a building includes an IAQ sensor that is located within the building and that is configured to measure an IAQ parameter. The IAQ parameter is one of: an amount of particulate of at least a predetermined size present in air; an amount of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) present in air; and an amount of carbon dioxide present in air. A mitigation module is configured to: selectively turn on a mitigation device based on a comparison of the IAQ parameter with a first ON threshold and a second ON threshold; and selectively turn off the mitigation device based on a comparison of the IAQ parameter with an OFF threshold. A clean module is configured to determine a clean value for the IAQ parameter. A thresholds module is configured to, based on the clean value, determine the first ON threshold and the OFF threshold.

Device-registration-operation assisting apparatus
A device-registration-operation assisting apparatus in a device management system including a plurality of devices installed in a building and a management device connected to the devices via a network, assists in an operation to register the devices. The device-registration-operation assisting apparatus includes an emission unit of an electromagnetic wave, and a mobile terminal. The emission unit is integrated into or positioned near one of the plurality of devices. The mobile terminal includes a receiving unit that receives the electromagnetic wave, a display unit that displays information of the device, and an input unit that receives an input of registration information in order to register the device displayed on the display unit in the device management system. The display unit does not display the information of the device for which the registration information is input to the input unit, or changes display of the information.
Air conditioning control system and storage medium storing authentication program product
An air conditioning control system includes an air conditioner, an air conditioning control device with a display, and an operation terminal with a camera. First authentication information included in a two-dimensional code displayed in the display in the air conditioning control device is collated with second authentication information acquired from the two-dimensional code imaged by the camera in the operation terminal and included in registration information transmitted from the operation terminal, to determine whether the first authentication information and the second authentication information match with each other. In response to the first authentication information and the second authentication information being determined to match with each other, the operation terminal that has terminal information included in the registration information is successfully authenticated and registered as an operation terminal that is enabled to perform a remote operation of the air conditioning control device.

RECORDING MEDIUM AND CONTROL METHOD
To propose a technique by which an air conditioning device can be efficiently set up. An aspect of the present disclosure relates to a program for implementing, on a terminal, an application that controls a user-side device or a heat-source-side device of an air conditioning device. The program causes the terminal to execute a process including displaying, by the application, a setting screen on the terminal. The setting screen includes identification information, a setting item, and a drive indicator of the user-side device or the heat-source-side device.
