ICE-MAKING DEVICE FOR REFRIGERATOR AND REFRIGERATOR INCLUDING THE SAME
A refrigerator having an ice-making device evaporator in addition to a refrigerator storage room evaporator. The ice-making device includes an ice tray and a cooling pipe contacting an outer surface of the ice tray. A refrigerant flows in the cooling pipe and directly cools the ice tray. The ice-making device evaporator receives the refrigerant from a condenser and supplies it to the cooling pipe. A heat insulation member wraps around the cooling pipe and can prevent the cooling pipe from exchanging heat with ambient air.
ICE-MAKING DEVICE FOR REFRIGERATOR
An ice-making device for a refrigerator including a duct providing a cold air flow path under an ice tray in which water turns into ice pieces. Uneven portions extending in a direction differing from a flow direction of cold air are formed at a lower surface of the ice tray. The duct may have a wavy surface. The surface features of the ice tray and the duct can advantageously increase contact area and contact time between cold air and the ice tray, thereby increasing the heat exchange efficiency between cold air and water contained in the ice tray.
ICE MAKER AND REFRIGERATOR HAVING SAME
An ice maker includes an ice tray with partitioned spaces for receiving ice-making water, an ejector for ice-separating an ice in the ice tray, a detector unit for detecting at least one of a position of the ejector and a temperature of the ice tray, a control box provided to be opposite to the ice tray and including a printed circuit board and a motor for driving the ejector therein, and a planar heater provided in the ice tray and including a heating element of a metal thin film and an insulating member to wrap the heating element such that the planar heater is pressured by virtue of an instrument provided in the ice tray to be bonded to or in closely contacted with the ice tray.
ICE EXTRACTION DEVICE
A device for extraction of a frozen liquid is provided including a tray having a first surface defining at least one cavity and a second surface opposite the first surface. A rod including a protrusion is positioned proximate the at least one cavity. The protrusion passes through the at least one cavity to extract the frozen liquid in response to rotation of the rod.
ICE MAKER AND CONTROL
In a method for controlling an ice maker, a motor rotates an ejector finger relative to an ice tray in a first direction and in a second direction opposite the first direction to discharge ice from the ice tray. When an error condition occurs, the ice maker enters a first error mode, during which an ice maker heater is turned on until the temperature of the ice tray reaches a predetermined temperature or until an ice maker heater error correction time elapses. When the ejector finger is at a home position, the motor rotates in the second direction until the ejector finger is not at the home position or for a first predetermined number of steps, whichever occurs first, and then rotates in the first direction until the ejector finger is at the home position.
DIRECT COOLING ICE MAKER
An ice maker apparatus includes an ice mold having first and second ends spaced apart in a longitudinal direction of the ice mold via opposite, first and second lateral sides. A first recess is formed in the first lateral side of the ice mold. A first thermally insulative cover has a first depression formed therein and is removably attached to the ice mold and disposed adjacent to the first lateral side thereof. The first recess and the first depression collectively define a first passage therebetween. An ice maker evaporator is provided and has a first leg. The first leg is disposed within the first passage.
REFRIGERATOR
According to an aspect of the present disclosure, a refrigerator may include a body having an open front; a refrigerator door configured to shield the open front of the body; an ice storage provided on the refrigerator door to store ice; an ice-making chamber provided in the body to produce the ice; an ice maker disposed in the ice-making chamber to transfer the produced ice to the ice storage; a power receiver provided to the ice maker to receive wireless power; and a power transmitter disposed on one side of one of the body and the ice-making chamber to transmit wireless power to the power receiver.
Ice making assembly and refrigerator appliance
A refrigerator appliance or ice supply, as provided herein, may include an ice maker, an ice bucket, and a shutter. The ice maker may include a mold body defining a discrete first compartment and second compartment within which water freezes. The ice bucket may define a first chamber and a second chamber. The second chamber may be separated from the first chamber. The ice bucket may further define an outlet opening having a first portion in fluid communication with the first chamber and a second portion in fluid communication with the second chamber. The shutter may be disposed at the outlet opening and movable between a first position and a second position. The first position may include the shutter covering the second portion and spaced apart from the first portion. The second position may include the shutter covering the first portion and spaced apart from the second portion.
ICE MAKER AND REFRIGERATOR INCLUDING THE SAME
A refrigerator includes an ice tray, a motor, an ejector including a rotary shaft and a protrusion pin, and a heater for selectively supplying heat to the ice tray. A control method of the refrigerator includes a first step of sensing whether the ejector is rotated to reach a first setup position; a second step of driving the heater and stopping driving of an ice making compartment fan if the first step is satisfied; a third step of determining whether the ejector is rotated to reach a second setup position; and a fourth step of stopping driving of the heater if the third step is satisfied, and wherein the ejector continues to be rotated while the second to fourth steps are implemented.
REFRIGERATOR WITH MULTI-ZONE ICE MAKER
A refrigerator includes a cabinet with one or more food compartments and one or more doors closing the food compartments and an ice maker located in the cabinet to produce ice. The ice maker includes a mold body for forming ice, the mold body having multiple cups, where each cup has an opening for receiving water to be frozen within the cup. The mold body is divided into at least a first zone and a second zone and the ice maker including at least a first heater and a second heater configured to provide heat to the first and second zones of the mold body, respectively, and a controller configured to harvest ice from the first zone independently of the second zone by actuating the first heater to provide heat to the first zone of the mold body to facilitate a release of ice from the first zone.
