The invention discloses drying systems and drying processes, particularly designed to efficiently dry grains. The grain drying system of the invention comprises a machine consisting of a drying rotor characterized by containing thermal panels and having an efficient design that allows air circulation. Alternatively, the grain drying system is consisting of a drying rotor comprising thermal panels and an efficient air circulation system, together with a vacuum rest rotor for the grains. The invention also relates to a grain drying process comprising a stage in a drying rotor consisting of thermal panels and an efficient air circulation system, and optionally a second vacuum rest stage in a vacuum rest rotor, where the first and second stages alternate one, two, three or more times as required. In general, the systems and processes disclosed in the invention involve elements and stages that allow the grain to be dried by controlled heating of the grain by exposure to electromagnetic radiation and efficient air flow, or through multiple stages that comprise controlled heating of the grain by exposure to electromagnetic radiation and efficient air flow, the rest of the grains under vacuum, and a new stage of controlled heating of the grain by exposure to electromagnetic radiation and efficient air flow thus achieving high efficiency in drying times without altering the structure of the grains and without generating polluting emissions, since the system does not require fossil fuels for its operation.

In a method for determining a temperature of a revolving drum of a laundry dryer, said drum has an outer wall and thereon at least one strip-shaped delimited detection region comprising thermochromic material having a transition temperature in the range of a temperature that is to be expected and to be determined. Optical detection means arranged adjacent to the revolving part are configured, in particular as a reflected light barrier, to detect the color transition of the thermochromic material in the event of the transition temperature being exceeded or undershot. At the revolving drum the thermochromic material or, if appropriate, the color transition thereof is detected by means of the detection means. A temperature of the drum is then determined as corresponding to the transition temperature in such a way that the temperature thereof is determined as corresponding to one of the two temperature ranges below the transition temperature or above the transition temperature.

The production method includes: a gel-crushing step of grinding a crosslinked hydrogel polymer to obtain a particulate crosslinked hydrogel polymer; a heating drying step of obtaining dried particles from the particulate crosslinked hydrogel polymer by using a continuous stirring drying machine; a post-crosslinking step of post-crosslinking the particulate crosslinked hydrogel polymer or the dried particles; and a sizing step of adjusting a particle size of the dried particles or the post-crosslinked dried particles to obtain water-absorbent resin powder. The particulate crosslinked hydrogel polymer contains a gel fluidizer. A gel temperature of the particulate crosslinked hydrogel polymer containing the gel fluidizer, the gel temperature being measured by a contact thermometer, is not lower than 50 C. In the production method, the dried particles or the post-crosslinked dried particles is forcedly cooled before the sizing step.

The production method includes a drying step of drying a particulate crosslinked hydrogel polymer obtained by polymerizing a monomer, which is a material of a water-absorbent resin, using a heating device to obtain dried particles. The heating device includes: a rotary container that contains the particulate crosslinked hydrogel polymer therein and rotates; and a plurality of heating tubes that are located within the rotary container, extend in an axial direction of the rotary container, and rotate together with the rotary container. A gel temperature of the particulate crosslinked hydrogel polymer to be subjected to the drying step, the gel temperature being measured by a contact thermometer, is not lower than 50 C.
