Apparatus and method for continuously drying bulk goods, in particular wood chips and/or wood fibers comprising a solid fired hot gas generator
An apparatus and a method is provided for continuously drying bulk goods, in particular wood fibers and/or wood chips, in a dryer, wherein the drying vapors are led to a dryer circuit, in which the drying vapors are indirectly heated via a heat-exchanger and are conducted to the dryer again.
Free radical sterilization system and method
A free radical sterilization system having a chamber defining a region, and a generator for generating free radical reach effluent from a free radical electric generator and/or a vaporizer. A closed loop circulating system without a free-radical destroyer is provided for supplying the mixture of free radicals from the electric generator mixed with the hydrogen peroxide solution in the form of the effluent to the chamber. The free-radical sterilization system is used in sterilizing items in the chamber and, with an open-bottomed wound chamber, in treating wounds on a body.
Equipment for reducing specific air pollutant generated from heated asphalt concrete with proportional control
Proposed is an equipment for reducing specific air pollutants generated from heated asphalt concrete with proportional control, which includes: a dryer for heating and drying aggregates and for burning harmful gases introduced through nozzles mounted thereon; a first dust remover for removing dust from the harmful gases emitted from the dryer; a fine dust remover for filtering fine dust from the remaining gases and dust; a bypass damper for returning some of the gases and dust emitted from the first dust remover to a second dust remover; the second dust remover for filtering the dust in the gases and dust emitted from the first dust remover; and a blower for feeding the gases exhausted from the second dust remover to the dryer, wherein clean gas exhausted from the fine dust remover is emitted to the air through an exhaust fan and a stack.
DRYER FOR HERBACEOUS MATERIAL WITH ACCESS HEATING
The dryer comprises a dryer receptacle having an inner space for receiving herbaceous material, an access assembly providing access to the inner space of the dryer receptacle, and a heating system comprising at least one access heating element for actively heating the access assembly. The access assembly comprises at least one of an inlet conveyor for supplying herbaceous material into the inner space of the dryer receptacle and an outlet conveyor for removing herbaceous material from the inner space of the dryer receptacle. The at least one access heating element comprises a conveyor heating element incorporated into the conveyor.
DRYER FOR HERBACEOUS MATERIAL HAVING INCLINED VANES
The dryer comprises a dryer receptacle having an inner space for receiving herbaceous material and a driving device for rotating the dryer receptacle about a rotation axis of the dryer receptacle. Vanes for engaging herbaceous material received in the inner space of the dryer receptacle extend from an inner surface of the dryer receptacle into the inner space of the dryer receptacle. In a cross-section with a sectional plane perpendicular to the rotation axis, the vanes are inclined with respect to the radial direction. Vane heating elements are incorporated into the vanes.
Biosolid treatment process and system
A biosolids treatment system that treats human biosolids to produce thermal energy for self-consumption for the production of beneficial use products including low carbon ash, high carbon activated biochar, and Class A biosolids. The system includes a variable feed conveyor that conveys a biosolid feed into a dryer; a dryer that dries the biosolid feed to a predetermined moisture content to create one of a beneficial use products, where the predetermined moisture content is controlled by varying the speed of variable feed conveyors and a variable feed mixer; and a gasifier that converts the biosolid feed into two of the beneficial use products.
Hybrid RF/conventional clothes dryer
The present application encompasses methods and apparatus for heating a load such as clothes immersed in a medium such as water during a heating period. A method embodiment of the present invention comprises heating the load and medium within an enclosure by subjecting said load and medium to heated air originated from a conventional energy source; and applying heat to said load and medium within the enclosure via an AC electrical field, embodied as a capacitor, originated from an RF power source.
Device and method for heat pump based clothes dryer
The present disclosure relates to a heat pump based dryer or a combination washer and dryer device comprising a housing receiving a drum for containing associated articles to be dried by air that flows along a pathway between an outlet and an inlet of the housing. A fluid is provided in the pathway to at least partially remove moisture from the air. A heat pump includes a heat source located at least partially within the pathway and a heat sink being operatively adapted to the heat source to circulate a refrigerant therein. An enclosure at least partially containing the heat sink is arranged to accept the fluid from the pathway to exchange heat with the heat sink and return the fluid to the pathway. Fluid may be provided to the pathway by a spray nozzle adjacent the outlet or by an evaporative media downstream of a lint separator.
Apparatus and method for a dryer
A dryer adapted for use in an asphalt plant. The dryer comprises a drum having an inner wall and a plurality of flights, each of which is disposed on the inner wall of the drum and each of which has a proximal end and a distal end spaced apart from the proximal end. At least one of the plurality of flights comprises a V-shaped notch. A method for drying components of asphalt comprising drying the components of asphalt in the drum of such a dryer.
