DRYING APPARATUS, PRINTING SYSTEM AND DRYING METHOD

The wind velocity of the air injected by the air-blow dryers 7a, 7b is lower than that of the air injected by the air-blow dryers 7c, 7d. That is, since a large amount of moisture remains on the front surface M1 of the printing medium M passing through the air-blow dryers 7a, 7b, the printing medium M is dried while the flow of the aqueous inks is suppressed by injecting the air at a lower wind velocity. On the other hand, the moisture decreases on the front surface M1 of the printing medium M dried by the air-blow dryers 7a, 7b and the fluidity of the aqueous inks is reduced. Accordingly, the drying of the printing medium M is promoted by injecting the air at a high wind velocity to the printing medium M passing through the air-blow dryers 7c, 7d.

DRYER CONVEYOR BELT TRACKING SYSTEM

The present invention provides a conveyor belt tracking system for a dryer having a web of a mesh material having a protrusion extending along the length proximal one lateral edge and above a flat surface and a first generally cylindrical roller having a three-tiered slot for receiving the protrusion and two flanking shallow tracks for receiving base flanges.

Printer having an aqueous ink drying system that attenuates image quality defects

A printer includes a drying unit that has a vacuum plenum and a drying belt with an exterior surface along which the media is transported through the drying unit. The drying belt has a plurality of holes extending through the drying belt, each hole in the plurality of holes having a diameter that is less than 300 microns. The drying unit further includes a heater configured to heat the media transported through the drying unit and a vacuum blower operably connected to the vacuum plenum. The vacuum blower is configured to generate a negative pressure in the vacuum plenum that holds the media on the exterior surface of the drying belt by the negative pressure acting through the plurality of holes without producing temperature differentials in the media on the belt that result in noticeable image quality defects.

A suction device for drying at least one plastic strand, incorporates a suction housing having a top side, a bottom side and several lateral surfaces, the top side having an inlet opening and one of the other surfaces having an outlet opening for the flow of a drying medium therethrough, and a screening element which has through apertures a base area with a maximum length and a maximum width. Each through aperture has an aperture cross-sectional area, and the sum of the aperture cross-sectional areas of all through apertures together forms a total aperture cross-sectional area. The screening element is on the top side and has its drying area above the inlet opening of the suction housing. The at least one plastic strand is moved in a process direction on the screening element, wherein the process direction is in a longitudinal direction of the screening element. The length of the drying area is at least 150 mm, and a ratio of the total aperture cross-sectional area of the through apertures to the base area of the drying area is between 30% and 45%, in particular 35% and 40%.

Electrode Sheet Drying Apparatus, Electrode Sheet Manufacturing System Comprising Same, and Electrode Sheet Drying Method

An electrode sheet drying equipment, an electrode sheet manufacturing system including the same, and an electrode sheet drying method including an air-floating roller disposed downstream of a drying oven, and the air-floating roller is configured to spray hot air through multiple air spraying holes formed on the outer circumferential surface. Accordingly, the electrode sheet discharged from the drying oven in a partially undried state can be additionally dried, thereby preventing contamination of a transfer roller and/or equipment of the subsequent process.

Air bar arrangement for drying tissue on a belt

Apparatus and methods particularly suited for drying tissue grade paper. In certain embodiments, a wet web, such as a web exiting a tissue manufacturing machine, is transferred to an air floatation dryer with specially arranged air bars and impingement nozzles described herein where the wet web is dried while still at least partly supported by an air-permeable belt. In certain embodiments, the specially arranged air floatation dryer comprises one or more air floatation dryer units through which the wet web is conveyed by way of a supporting endless loop or belt of air-permeable construction. The air bars and opposing impingement nozzles are so arranged as to force the web into contact with the belt and then subsequently lift the web from the belt surface in a repetitive and alternating fashion as the web and belt travel through the dryer.
