A muzzle brake for use with a firearm such as a muzzle-loading firearm, and including at least one access port in the muzzle brake that is large enough (for example at least about 0.5″ or more minimum dimension) for access by a user's fingertip to remove a cleaning patch from the muzzle brake. One or more vent ports that are relatively smaller than the access port may also be provided in the muzzle brake.

A bore guide for cleaning a firearm has an elongated body defining a bore configured to receive a cleaning rod and brush, the elongated body having a forward end configured to be received in a chamber of the barrel and having a forward aperture to transmit the brush to the barrel bore, the elongated body having a rear end opposite the forward end and defining a rear aperture, a stop adjustably connected to an intermediate portion of the elongated body and movable over a range of different positions along the length of the elongated body, and the stop being adjustable to generate a rearward force against a portion of the firearm, and a forward force by the forward end of the elongated body against the chamber. The elongated body may be externally threaded, and the stop may engage the threads. The stop may extend laterally from the elongated body.

A firearm bore cleaner for cleaning a bore of a firearm includes a cleaning segment and a pulling segment. The cleaning segment cleans the bore of the firearm when the cleaning segment is moved along the bore. The cleaning segment includes a tail end connector adjacent a tail end portion. The pulling segment is sized and shaped to be inserted into the bore. The pulling segment includes a head end connector adjacent the head end portion of the pulling segment. A tail end portion of the pulling segment is connected to a head end portion of the cleaning segment. The head end connector of the pulling segment and the tail end connector of the cleaning segment can be releasably connect to each other to couple the head end portion of the pulling segment and the tail end portion of the cleaning segment together in order to form a closed loop.

A firearm bore cleaner for cleaning a bore of a firearm includes a cleaning segment and a pulling segment. The cleaning segment cleans the bore of the firearm when the cleaning segment is moved along the bore. The cleaning segment includes a tail end connector adjacent a tail end portion. The pulling segment is sized and shaped to be inserted into the bore. The pulling segment includes a head end connector adjacent the head end portion of the pulling segment. A tail end portion of the pulling segment is connected to a head end portion of the cleaning segment. The head end connector of the pulling segment and the tail end connector of the cleaning segment can be releasably connect to each other to couple the head end portion of the pulling segment and the tail end portion of the cleaning segment together in order to form a closed loop.

A firearm maintenance tool has a body including a rail mount segment and a spindle rotatably mounted to the body and adapted to receive an elongated cleaning rod. The tool may include a square drive element adapted to engage a tool socket. The body may be an elongated body, and the rail segment may extend the length of the body. The body may be an elongated body defining a body axis, and the spindle may extend perpendicularly from the body along a spindle axis perpendicular to the body axis. The body may define a first aperture receiving the spindle, and a second aperture receiving a retention element operably securing the spindle to the body. The first and second apertures may be perpendicular to each other.

A firearm maintenance tool has a body including a rail mount segment and a spindle rotatably mounted to the body and adapted to receive an elongated cleaning rod. The tool may include a square drive element adapted to engage a tool socket. The body may be an elongated body, and the rail segment may extend the length of the body. The body may be an elongated body defining a body axis, and the spindle may extend perpendicularly from the body along a spindle axis perpendicular to the body axis. The body may define a first aperture receiving the spindle, and a second aperture receiving a retention element operably securing the spindle to the body. The first and second apertures may be perpendicular to each other.

A brush includes a wire core, a round tip formed on a distal end of the wire core, the round tip being unitary with the wire core section and being formed by melting or welding a portion of the wire core at the distal end, and a molded tip attached to the wire core at the distal end via a ball-and-socket connection.

Axially spaced, resilient panels are integrally molded onto a hub through which the support extends. A barb at an end of the support is provided to secure a cleaning patch that is wrapped around the outer edges of the panels and maintained in contact with an interior surface of the firearm during cleaning by the resilience of the panels.
