Loading mechanism for suspended loop ammunition
11747103 · 2023-09-05 · ·

A mechanism for loading suspended loops of linked ammunition onto rails of an ammunition magazine includes a guideway and a carriage. The guideway has cam surfaces and cam slots each extending vertically from a lower portion of the guideway and curving near an upper portion of the guideway toward the rails at a loading end of the magazine. The carriage includes a support block slidably received by the guideway and a tandem bucket mounted on the support block by a linkage. The tandem bucket includes inner and outer followers engaging the cam surfaces and cam slots. The tandem bucket is horizontal and may be loaded with two adjacent rounds of a belt of linked ammunition when the carriage is at a lowered position. The carriage may then be raised manually, wherein the tandem bucket is articulated by camming engagement of the followers to a vertical orientation to deposit one of the two rounds onto the magazine rails with the other round and trailing rounds suspended therefrom.

Combat optimized ballistic remote armament

A remote weapon station (RWS) system for an unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) includes a dedicated weapon, multi-axis gimbal and ammunition handling capabilities with all operations functioning remotely and wirelessly. The RWS system is a gas powered, or self-powered, belt fed, rotating bolt lock weapon. In addition, the RWS is man-portable and air-droppable as the major subsystems may be latched together in the field without tooling or needing to make electrical connections.

AMMUNITION STORAGE AND FEEDING SYSTEM
20210222977 · 2021-07-22 ·

Ammunition storage and feeding system for light weapons that facilitates a continuous loading of the weapon, thereby relieving the user from multiple magazine replacements, and reducing potential weapon stoppages, thus providing more reliable and significantly uninterruptable use of the weapon with respect to operating the weapon with conventional magazines. According to an embodiment of the invention, the system is configured to automatically receive interlinked cartridges from a carrying device (e.g., a backpack or other convenient device harnessed to the user's body) through a flexible or semi-flexible leading means, to successively extract the cartridges from the linking arrangement and to successively feed each extracted cartridge into a dedicated magazine in a First In First Out (FIFO) manner.

Weapon mount

The weapon mount is versatile, lightweight, easy to use, can absorb forces generated by recoil, and may be used for different types of weapons. The weapon mount includes a cradle mounted on a swing or swivel bracket, the cradle having a fixed front support and a back sliding support. First and second shock absorbers are mounted laterally in the cradle parallel to each other. A plurality of connection pins allow adjustment of the cradle to support different weapons. Ammo can holder brackets may be mounted on one side of the cradle. The shock absorbers have hinges, allowing the shock absorbers to be rotated to support different weapons. The swing bracket permits the weapon mount to be rotated 360 clockwise or counterclockwise, and the mount may be elevated 60 or lowered 10. The weapon mount may be made of stainless steel.

Multi-barrel split-breach rapid fire gun

The multi-barrel split-breech rapid fire gun is a light-weight, electrically-driven rapid fire gun, radially loaded and fired, using only rotating parts. This eliminates inertia problems compared to a breech-loaded gun that requires a bolt to chamber a cartridge. The firing mechanism allows the cartridge to be enclosed in a split-breech for 50% one rotation of the barrel hub. The gun incorporates an independent firing pin for each barrel to allow for high firing rates. The gun is fed by a thin polyimide cartridge belt fan-folded in a detachable wet-magazine.
