Pivoting mount for attaching an accessory to a weapon
An accessory mounting device to pivotably mount an accessory to a weapon such as a firearm provides recoil dampening and generally may also include an accessory mount, a weapon attachment base, an arbor, and a detent mechanism. Advantageously, to flip or rotate the accessory mount through about 90 degrees between a first position above the base and a second position along a side of the base requires only grasping the accessory mount and rotating it from either of the positions through 90 degrees to the other position. No separate manual action to disengage any type of locking device is required, nor is any longitudinal or lateral translation of the mount involved. The function of providing stabilized, consistent location in each of the two positions, resistance to movement from each position, and manual movement of the mount that overcomes the resistance and rotates between the positions is provided by the detent mechanism.
Detented pivoting mount for attaching an accessory to a weapon
An accessory mounting device to pivotably mount an accessory to a weapon such as a firearm provides recoil dampening and generally includes an accessory mount, a weapon attachment base, an arbor, and a detent mechanism. Adjustable rotating stock butt and sighting device
A novel and improved rotating stock butt and rotating sighting device that applies to a shoulder-fired firearm where the firing mechanism and the sighting device are elevated above the stock butt when in a horizontal shooting position. This system comprises a cooperation between the rotating stock butt and the rotating sighting device that allows the firing mechanism and the barrel to be off set to either the right or to the left of the stock butt while the rotating sighting device and sight bead remains on the top center of the firearm. This allows the shooter to mount the gun with very little head movement.
Kinematic mount for a firearm
A kinematic mount assembly is provided. The kinematic mount assembly includes a fixed mount and a pivot mount. The fixed mount and pivot mount together have a plurality of an protrusions and recesses to guide the mounts into a repeatable position when rotating from an opened to a closed position. The protrusions may be semispherical balls and the recesses may be gothic-arch shaped. The pivot mount and fixed mount may be coupled by a pivot pin and rotate about the pivot pin. The pivot mount may contain holes configured to mount an accessory. A latch assembly may hold the fixed mount and pivot mount closed until the latch is actuated, usually by a switch, to allow the system to open.
Firearm accessory mount
A firearm accessory includes a firearm attachment portion that is configured to attach to a firearm. The firearm attachment portion defines a barrel passage that defines a barrel passage axis. The barrel passage is configured to receive at least a portion of a firearm barrel. The firearm accessory includes an accessory mounting portion that is pivotally attached to the firearm attachment portion. The accessory mounting portion is movable between an open position and a closed position. When in the open position, the accessory mounting portion is positioned away from the barrel passage, and when in the closed position, the accessory mounting portion is positioned at least partially around the barrel passage.

Non-lethal probe for target control
New targeting systems, hardware and techniques are provided, in which an auxiliary probe is first launched and deployed at a target. Extremely precise, deliberate targeting for future projectiles, weapons or non-lethal measures is then made relative to the position and orientation of the probe. In one embodiment, a system enables a sniper to plan measures with extreme precision within an environment, evaluate their effectiveness, and execute them extremely rapidly once satisfied. A user may create, set, adjust and execute Impact Point indicators, corresponding with projected points of impact of a projectile on a target subject within a target environment. The system may counteract and otherwise adjust for certain ballistic and environmental factors in a firing mechanism to maintain such an Impact Point fire ready, in real time. Yet the system is unobtrusive, allowing the user to engage ordinary targeting activity.
Adjustable rotating stock butt and sighting device
A novel and improved rotating stock butt and rotating sighting device that applies to a shoulder-fired firearm where the firing mechanism and the sighting device are elevated above the stock butt when in a horizontal shooting position. This system comprises a cooperation between the rotating stock butt and the rotating sighting device that allows the firing mechanism and the barrel to be offset to either the right or to the left of the stock butt while the rotating sighting device and sight bead remains on the top center of the firearm. This allows the shooter to mount the gun with very little head movement.
Multi-position accessory mount
The multi-position sight mount secures two or more weapon sights to a firearm and allows each sight to be selectively rotated between a vertical aiming position and an offset auxiliary position. The sight mount is mounted atop a conventional firearms and oriented to selectively position each optical sights in line with the longitudinal axis of the firearm barrel. The sight mounting includes a rotating cylinder mounted between a pair of mounting brackets attached to the firearm. The cylinder can be manually rotated between discreet positions to selectively move each sight between a 12 o'clock aiming position atop the firearm and a radially offset 3 or 9 o'clock auxiliary position.
