DIRECTED-ENERGY WEAPON AND METHOD FOR DISPLAYING THE POSITION OF AN IMPACT POINT OF THE DIRECTED-ENERGY WEAPON
20220307803 · 2022-09-29 · ·

A method and apparatus for displaying a position of an impact point of a directed-energy weapon which has an effective beam optical system and an imaging optical system. An emission of primary radiation of the directed-energy weapon is triggered as an effective beam, and radiation exiting from an irradiated object is received by the imaging optical system and directed onto a camera of a screen. A beam bundle cross section of an effective beam is covered with a reflective optical auxiliary element, the effective beam or the auxiliary beam is triggered with the beam bundle cross section covered, and primary radiation of the effective beam or of the auxiliary beam which is reflected by the reflective optical auxiliary element is received by the imaging optical system and directed onto a spot of the camera as the impact point.

Method and system for aligning a point of aim with a point of impact for a projectile device
09733047 · 2017-08-15 · ·

Methods and systems for aligning a point of aim with a point of impact for a projectile device are disclosed. Using a superposition device coupled to the projectile device, at least one optical reference point is superposed within a first target area. The point of impact is created on a second target area using a projectile expelled from the projectile device towards the second target area. The point of aim for the projectile device is aligned with the point of impact while the position of the at least one optical reference point is maintained. Parallax is eliminated (or minimized) by aligning a primary and a secondary sight alignment indicator with each other and with a common optical axis extending through a scope configured to be coupled with the projectile device.

True Calibration by Matching Relative Target Icon and Indicators to Relative Target
20220307799 · 2022-09-29 · ·

An improved display provides a relative aiming point indicated in relation to a relative target icon or user selectable target reference image. A range finding device is calibrated, using a relative target, to a specific firing device having a sight, for example, a rifle having a riflescope calibrated at 100 yards, or a bow having a bow sight calibrated with a 20-yard pin. The user places the riflescope cross hairs on the point visualized in the display relative to the relative target icon. In bow mode, user places a bow sight pin, for example, the 20-yard pin, on the point visualized in the display relative to the relative target icon. The relative aiming point is separate and distinct from an absolute aiming point that may be visualized in the display relative to the visual image of the target.

Firearm Training Apparatuses, Systems and Methods of Using

A firearm training system for retrofitting an existing rifle to allow for repeated dry firing of the rifle without having to manually reset the trigger after each shot. In some embodiments the system includes a bolt carrier group trigger resetter and a magazine battery pack. In some embodiments, the magazine battery pack is rechargeable. In some embodiments, the bolt carrier group trigger resetter includes a motor. In some embodiments, the bolt carrier group trigger resetter includes a laser.

Boresighting device and method

A boresighting device to equip a turret provided with a barrel and one or several sight system(s) each with an optical system includes: a deflection target intended to be positioned outside the barrel, at a muzzle brake of the barrel; a housing intended to be positioned outside the barrel, at a shaft of the barrel. The housing includes: a first optics system provided with a deflection camera, the first optics system being used to determine a parallelism error between a firing line from the shaft and that from the muzzle brake; and a second optics system provided with a boresighting camera, the second optics system being used to determine a parallelism error between the firing line from the shaft and an optics line from the sight system(s). The deflection target integrates a geometric figure serving as a reference point for the first optics system.

Devices and methods of rapidly zeroing a riflescope using a turret display
11391545 · 2022-07-19 · ·

A turret display device is used for rapidly zeroing a riflescope. The turrets on an improved riflescope provide a turret position signal. A display of the turret display device comprises turret display cross hairs displayed relative to a target icon. When the turret display device receives a turret position signal, turret display cross hairs move to show the relative movement as indicated by the received turret position signal. When a distance is processed by the turret display device, the turret display cross hairs move to show an aiming point relative to a target icon based on the current zero of the riflescope. The user zeroes the riflescope to any distance by turning the turrets until the turret display cross hairs are centered for the desired distance. In some embodiments the turret display device is integrated into a hand held rangefinder, smart phone, or riflescope. A riflescope having turrets which each provide a turret position signal.
