Multiple transducer method and system for pipeline analysis
A method and system for assessing the condition of a pipeline in a pipeline system is disclosed. The method includes generating a pressure wave in the fluid being carried along the pipeline system at a pressure wave generating location along the pipeline system and detecting pressure wave interaction signals at two closely spaced measurement locations along the pipeline. The method then includes determining a system response function for the pipeline based on the detected pressure wave interaction signals for each measurement location and characterising the pipeline based on the system response function.

Estimation of cyclone life based on remaining abrasion resistant lining thickness
A Fluid Catalytic Cracking process converts heavy crude oil fractions into lighter hydrocarbon products at high temperature and moderate pressure in the presence of a catalyst. During this process, catalyst particles stay entrained in the descending gas stream. An inlet scroll on the cyclone may be used to keep the inlet gas stream and the entrained particles away from the entrance to the gas outlet tube. Refractory material may applied to the interior of the wall of the cyclone to form an abrasion resistant lining to insulate the walls of the cyclone from the gas flow contents. The inlet feed velocity may be used as a predictive factor to determine a wear rate of the cyclones. Thus, lining erosion can be predicted so that the lining can be repaired or replaced during a planned turnaround.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR IMPROVING THE STABILITY OF HEIGHT DIFFERENCE MEASUREMENT BASED ON CORRUGATED TUBE
The invention relates to the field of height measurement, disclosing a method and a device for improving the stability of height difference measurement based on a corrugated tube. The method comprises: improving the structural stability of a height difference measuring device between a first pressure sensor and a second pressure sensor, obtaining the structural stability improvement result; collecting a first pressure from the first pressure sensor, detecting whether the first pressure is affected by external interference; when the first pressure is not affected by external interference, performing pressure screening on the first pressure to obtain a screening pressure, and calculating a first pressure average value of the screening pressure; collecting a second pressure from the second pressure sensor, calculating a second pressure average value of the second pressure; based on a historical pressure average value of the second pressure sensor, detecting the pressure accuracy of the second pressure average value; when the pressure accuracy is accurate, updating the second pressure by utilizing the second pressure average value to obtain an updated pressure; calculating the dynamic height difference of the height difference measuring device, utilizing the dynamic height difference to determine a dynamic stability improvement result of the height difference measuring device. The invention can ensure the stability of pressure measurement.
Determining component height deviations
Heights of components or parts thereof are measured within a printing machine by measuring their relative rather than absolute heights. A virtual surface may be constructed from the measured heights, with a tolerance level employed based on the virtual surface. The invention is particularly suited to measurement of tooling components within a printing machine, such as tooling pins.
