Vehicle simulating method and system
A simulating method for an electric vehicle (EV) includes creating a simulation model associating a plurality of target behaviors of a target vehicle with the EV, obtaining a plurality of vehicle parameters of the EV to generate a set of EV control parameters, obtaining a plurality of configuration parameters of the target vehicle, based on the set of EV control parameters and the plurality of configuration parameters of the target vehicle, using the simulation model to provide a set of simulated target-vehicle controls, where the simulation model is a neural network trained to reflect a relationship between the set of EV control parameters and the set of simulated target-vehicle controls, and outputting the set of simulated target-vehicle controls to the EV, such that the EV is controlled to achieve the plurality of target behaviors of the target vehicle based on the set of simulated target-vehicle controls.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MAINTAINING A DATABASE COMPRISING REPORTED TRAFFIC-AFFECTING EVENTS
A method performed by a database managing system for maintaining a database comprising reported traffic-affecting events is provided. The system derives a position of a first vehicle supporting detection of vehicle surroundings and determines by comparing the vehicle position to positions of reported traffic-affecting events comprised in the database, that the first vehicle is approaching at least a first traffic-affecting event. The system prompts the first vehicle to attempt to detect the first traffic-affecting event, which prompting comprises providing to the first vehicle an expected position of the first traffic-affecting event. The system receives a response from the first vehicle, which response indicates whether or not the expected position was at least partly unobstructedly observable by the first vehicle. The response further indicates—if the expected position was at least partly unobstructedly observable—whether or not the first traffic-affecting event was at least partly detected by the first vehicle.

DETERMINING ROAD LOCATION OF A TARGET VEHICLE BASED ON TRACKED TRAJECTORY
Systems and methods are provided for navigating a host vehicle. In an embodiment, a processing device may be configured to receive images captured over a time period; analyze images to identify a target vehicle; receive map information associated including a plurality of target trajectories; determine, based on analysis of the images, first and second estimated positions of the target vehicle within the time period; determine, based on the first and second estimated positions, a trajectory of the target vehicle over the time period; compare the determined trajectory to the plurality of target trajectories to identify a target trajectory traversed by the target vehicle; determine, based on the identified target trajectory, a position of the target vehicle; and determine a navigational action for the host vehicle based on the determined position.

POSITION ESTIMATION METHOD AND POSITION ESTIMATION SYSTEM
A position estimation system for a vehicle including a magnetic sensor which measures magnetism acting from a road surface side forming a surface of a traveling road to estimate an own vehicle position includes a map DB which stores a map (1) associated with a road-surface magnetic distribution (M2), which is a distribution of quantities of magnetism at respective points on the road surface, a magnetic distribution generation part which acquires magnetic measurement values from the magnetic sensor and generates a measured magnetic distribution, which is a distribution of magnetic measurement values, and a position estimation part which specifies an area corresponding to the measured magnetic distribution in the road-surface magnetic distribution (M2) associated with the map stored in the map DB and estimates the own vehicle position based on a position of the area corresponding to the measured magnetic distribution on the map.

INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, CONTROL METHOD, PROGRAM AND STORAGE MEDIUM
The control unit 15 of the in-vehicle device 1 is configured to extract, from voxel data VD that is position information of an object for each of unit areas (voxels) into which a space is divided, the voxel data VD of plural voxels located at or around an own vehicle. Then, the control unit 15 is configured to calculate a normal vector of an approximate plane calculated based on the extracted voxel data VD of the plural voxels. Then, the control unit 15 is configured to calculate at least one of a pitch angle of the own vehicle or a roll angle of the own vehicle based on an orientation of the own vehicle and the normal vector.
VEHICLE LOCATION USING COMBINED INPUTS OF REDUNDANT LOCALIZATION PIPELINES
Provided are methods for semantic annotation of sensor data using unreliable map annotation inputs, which can include training a machine learning model to accept inputs including images representing sensor data for a geographic area and unreliable semantic annotations for the geographic area. The machine learning model can be trained against validated semantic annotations for the geographic area, such that subsequent to training, additional images representing sensor data and additional unreliable semantic annotations can be passed through the neural network to provide predicted semantic annotations for the additional images. Systems and computer program products are also provided.
