A system for providing a recommended route for a vehicle, from a current location to an intermediate destination, to a final destination. The system includes an electronic control unit (ECU) configured to determine a vehicle range exceeding a distance between the current location of the vehicle and the intermediate destination. The ECU is configured to determine a baseline route having a first section and a second section. The ECU is configured to determine a first energy source of the first section and a second energy source of the second section. The ECU is configured to determine a first cost associated with incorporating the first energy source and a second cost associated with incorporating the second energy source. The ECU is also configured to determine the recommended route based on the first cost and the second cost. The system also includes an output unit configured to output the recommended route.

Method of Determining a Point of Interest and/or a Road Type in a Map, and Related Cloud Server and Vehicle

Provided is a computer-implemented method of determining a point of interest and/or a road type in a map, comprising the steps of: acquiring processed sensor data collected from one or more vehicles; extracting from the processed sensor data a set of classification parameters; and determining based on the set of classification parameters one or more points of interest (POI) and its geographic location and/or one or more road types.

Customer navigation system

Systems and methods for providing customer navigation include a system provider device that may receive a query for directions to a first merchant physical location. Responsive to receiving the query, the system provider device determines a first travel time to the first merchant physical location and a second travel time to a second merchant physical location. The system provider device further determines a first wait time at the first merchant physical location and a second wait time at the second merchant physical location. Additionally, the system provider device determines that a first total time using the first travel time and the first wait time is shorter than a second total time using the second travel time and the second wait time. Based on determining that the first total time is shorter than the second total time, the system provider device may provide navigation to the first merchant physical location.

METHOD FOR MAP-BASED AUTHENTICATION CHALLENGES
20230236029 · 2023-07-27 ·

Map-based security authentication challenges are disclosed. A user authentication method includes prompting a user to select a past route the user traveled for authentication in response to a request to access a banking computing resource. A map corresponding to the past route is transmitted to a mobile device of the user for display on the mobile device. The user is requested to trace the past route on the map. A machine learning model is invoked to compute a similarity score between the past route and a map tracing received in response to the request the user trace the past route. The method verifies a user identity, and when the similarity score satisfies a predetermined.

Encoding routes to POIs in proximity searches using bloom filters
11566911 · 2023-01-31 · ·

A POI request comprising query criteria and information identifying a starting location is received. A network version starting segment is identified based on the information identifying the starting location. A route determination algorithm is expanded, starting at the starting segment. When the route determination algorithm is expanded to a new segment, it is determined whether any POIs associated with the new segment match the query criteria. Responsive to determining that a POI associated with the new segment satisfies the query criteria, a POI route from the starting segment to the POI is extracted. Map version agnostic identifiers are generated for each segment of the POI routes. Each of the map version agnostic identifiers are coded using at least one coding function. A bloom filter having the coded map version agnostic identifiers as members is generated. The bloom filter is provided such that a mobile apparatus receives the bloom filter.

Methods and apparatuses for charging of electric vehicles

A method for controlling a charge transfer of an electric vehicle using an electric vehicle charging station, a mobile device, and a cloud server is disclosed. The method includes: receiving, at a mobile device, a message for an electric vehicle of a user from the electric vehicle charging station, wherein a user of the mobile device is associated with the electric vehicle to be charged; sending, from the mobile device, the message for the electric vehicle of the user to the cloud server, wherein the charge transfer request relayed from the mobile device includes identification information; in response to a charging control signal being authorized using identification information received from the mobile device, receiving the charging control signal from the cloud server at the mobile device to be forwarded to the electric vehicle charging station, wherein the charging control signal is configured to adjust a charging parameter at the electric vehicle charging station.

CONTROL DEVICE OF VEHICLE AND VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM

A vehicle information DB holds information on whether or not a vehicle falls under a welfare vehicle provided with an assistance apparatus for a driver who has a lower limb impairment. A power feed facility DB holds position information of a power feed facility and information indicating whether the power feed facility falls under a contact type power feed facility or a wireless power feed facility. A processing apparatus creates a travel route such that a larger number of wireless power feed facilities are included along the travel route when the vehicle falls under the welfare vehicle than when the vehicle does not fall under the welfare vehicle.

ROUTE GUIDANCE METHOD AND DEVICE USING AUGMENTED REALITY VIEW
20230228587 · 2023-07-20 ·

A method of obtaining a route from a point of departure to a destination includes providing route guidance through an augmented reality (AR) view including an image captured by a camera. To provide route guidance, as a user terminal moves toward a destination on the basis of an obtained route, when an interaction occurs between the user terminal and a node or a link in which predetermined information included in the route is registered, content associated with the predetermined information is augmented and displayed as guidance information on an image of an AR view.

Vehicle and method of controlling the same

A vehicle and a method of controlling the same are provided. The vehicle may include a storage configured to store map information and store information, an inputter configured to receive an input of a destination and an item list from a user, and a controller configured to generate a traveling route of the vehicle based on the stored map information and the received destination, and determine at least one store of the plurality of stores that is located within a predetermined distance with respect to the generated travelling route and sells at least one item included in the received list of items, wherein the controller modifies the generated travelling route such that the vehicle passes through at least one store of the plurality of stores based on a location of at least one store of the plurality of stores.

Device and computer program product for route planning for a vehicle

A method determines an anticipated occupation of charging points and a charging strategy for a specified route. The method provides traffic data which is representative for the current traffic density on the route specified. An anticipated occupation of charging points along the specified route can be determined on the basis of the traffic data. A charging strategy can be determined on the basis of the traffic data and the determined anticipated occupation of charging points. The provision of information regarding a charging strategy to a driver allows the time required for the specified route to be reduced.
