Method and system for automated association of devices with electricity meters
A system, method and device for automated association of a device and a power meter. For example, the method includes determining a power profile for a power meter, determining device-specific power information for each of a plurality of devices, comparing the device-specific power information for each of the plurality of devices against the power profile for the power meter, determining, based upon the comparing, which of the plurality of devices is associated with the power meter, and recording the power meter and its associated device in a network management record. The techniques may be extended to include associating multiple multifunction print devices to one of a plurality of power meters based upon power log and job arrival information for the print devices as compared to power profile information from the power meters, thereby providing for automated associated of the devices and the power meters without unnecessary human interaction.
GROUP SMART SENSOR MANAGEMENT SERVICE
A smart sensor group management service may be used to establish groups of smart sensors that are associated with one or more common characteristics, such as a common application associated with the smart sensors. The group management service may establish multiple physical groups per application so that multiple entities may have access to managing the groups. The physical groups may be associated with a virtual group that facilitates management of the physical groups and may be accessible by the entities. The entities may perform different types of management operations using the group management service, such as creating groups, adding smart sensors to groups, removing smart sensors from groups, and adjusting settings of features of the applications that are associated with the groups.
RADIO FREQUENCY COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD
Method and devices for wirelessly transmitting data packets in a meter reading system, wherein the method comprises generating at the meter device, a first data packet including payload data and a first message authentication code computed based the payload data and associated meter data stored in a memory of the meter device, transmitting the first data packet from the meter device to the receiver, and performing a primary authentication check of the first data packet and verifying the associated meter data at the receiver by recalculating the first message authentication code using the received payload data and current associated meter data stored in a memory of the receiver, as input.
EXTENSIBLE METERING SYSTEM AND OPERATING METHOD THEREOF
The invention relates to a network enabled extensible metering system and a method of operation. The system comprising a plurality of first electronic circuitries (102a, 102b . . . 102n) that may be configured to establish a connection between a plurality of meters (104a, 104b . . . 104n and a mobility device (114) based on one or more parameters of the plurality of meters (104a, 104b . . . 104n). The system further comprising a second electronic circuitry (106) that may be configured to process an information of the plurality of meters (104a, 104b . . . 104n) connected with the mobility device (114) in the metering system (100). The third electronic circuitry (108) in the system may be configured to synchronously transmit the processed information to a display (110) of the mobility device (114). The information from the processed information may be displayed on the display (110) of the mobility device (114) based on a user subscription request.
Smart grid communication assessment and co-simulation tool
Systems and methods are provided for modeling and simulating a communication network operating under at least one communication protocol, which supports a Smart Grid electricity network. Communication performance data of the communication network are generated by a processor based on operating behavior of the Smart Grid with a plurality of assets under a first condition. Devices in the Smart grid are grouped in bins for rapid modeling. One or more different configurations of the communication network are entered into the processor and related performance data is also generated. Network configurations are compared based on the generated performance data which may include end-to-end delay and reception rate. Processor based systems to perform modeling methods are also provided.
NETWORK SYSTEM
Provided is a network system. The network system includes: at least one unit selected from an energy receiving unit receiving energy and an energy management unit managing the energy receiving unit. An energy usage amount or energy usage rate of the energy receiving unit is adjusted; an energy usage amount or usage rate when the unit is controlled based on information relating to at least an energy rate is less than that when the unit is controlled without the base of information relating to at least an energy rate; the energy receiving unit comprises a plurality of components; and an operation of one component among the plurality of components is controlled based on the energy rate related information.
Monitoring System with Low Power Usage
A data logging device including a data request and receiving module receiving an input, a switch circuit receiving said input, a resistive load interconnected to said switch circuit, a data request switch providing a signal to said data request and receiving module, a charge storage device interconnected with said resistive load, a transmitter interconnected with said data request and receiving module.
Intelligent receptacle
An intelligent receptacle (or receptacle device) enables individually monitoring and/or controlling consumption of utility service by one or more loads through a supply outlet that is associated with the receptacle device. A client device may enable a user to remotely control a provision of the utility service from the supply outlet through the receptacle device. Furthermore, a utility metering device may include a virtual metering device instance that is configured to collect utility consumption data associated with the supply outlet from the receptacle device and help calibration or synchronization of utility consumption readings of the receptacle device.
