Provided is a device for weighing a wide variety of ingredients and a system configuration of the device for weighing a wide variety of ingredients, the device weighing and feeding several types of ingredients when cup noodles such as instant noodles are packed with the ingredients in a cup. A space-saving and easily maintainable device for weighing a wide variety of ingredients, wherein powdery and granular starting materials (A, B) are individually stored in a first starting material hopper (2) and a second starting material hopper (3), gradually sent out to the downstream side, weighed, discharged to a first chute (10) and a second chute (11), and supplied to a cup-filling unit (23), and one series from the first starting material hopper (2) to the first chute (10) and one series from the second starting material hopper (3) to the second chute (11) are formed vertically parallel in the shape of a staircase from the upstream side to the downstream side. The device can mix a wide variety of ingredients, improves workability by the size and weight reduction of the starting material hoppers, and achieves space saving resulting from the reduction of floor space to half, and easier cleaning.

Adaptive flow measurement system

A method and system for correcting mass flow rate measurements relating to a conveyor used to move a stream of first component material portions to and through a mixing station in which a second component material is dispensed in a predetermined mass percentage of the mass of the first component material portions. The correction of the measurements is adapted to correct for inaccuracies that arise in the measurements due to, for example, differences in the first component material portions properties, differences in the second component material properties, environmental conditions, drift of electronic instruments, and changing conditions that occur during extended use of an upstream conveyor that delivers first component material portions to the mixing station.

A method for operating a mixing apparatus of a manufacturing plant comprises supplying multiple powdered products to the mixing apparatus. An inlet mass flow rate of the multiple powdered products into the mixing apparatus and a weight of the multiple powdered products in the mixing apparatus are measured. The multiple powdered products in the mixing apparatus are mixed to form a mixed product. The weight of the multiple powdered products in the mixing apparatus and an outlet mass flow rate of the mixed product from the mixing apparatus are predicted based on the measured inlet mass flow of the multiple powdered products. The predicted outlet mass flow rate of the mixed product from the mixing apparatus is corrected based on the measured weight of the multiple powdered products in the mixing apparatus. The mixed product is processed into final products.
