A brightness colorimeter having a measurement error caused by linearly polarized light, which is corrected, includes: a lens module to which light irradiated from one side is input; a polarization conversion module configured to penetrate the light input through the lens module to convert polarization characteristics; a spectral module provided in one unit block to reflect and penetrate the light input through the polarization conversion module so as to branch the light in different three directions; filter modules arranged on progress paths of the light branched in different three direction through the spectral module to penetrate monochromatic light beams having specific spectra among the light branched in the three directions; and measurement modules arranged to correspond to exit angles of the monochromatic light beams penetrated through the filter modules, to measure at least one of a brightness, a colorimeter and a defect obtained by the monochromatic light beams.

Further, the one or more processing devices determine, based on the encoded image data, one or more second PQ codes, and determine one or more metrics indicative of a performance characteristic the display device based on the first PQ codes and the second PQ codes. The one or more processing devices store a data item including the one or more metrics.

According to the method, the mobile device acquires a first acquired image that is an image of a first displayed image being displayed on the first display device and a second acquired image that is an image of a second displayed image being displayed on the second display device, compares the first acquired image and the second acquired image with each other, determines an image quality correction value for the first display device so that an image quality of the first displayed image is made substantially equal to an image quality of the second displayed image, and transmits the determined image quality correction value to the first display device or the second display device.

Described herein is a color calibration system and method including a display device including a non-volatile memory, a display screen, and a target sensor. The system and method further can include a computing system in communication with the display device and including a processor, a persistent memory, a temporary memory, and a reference sensor. A calibration matrix can be derived using the reference and target data captured by the target and reference sensors. The calibration matrix can be used to calibrate the target sensor using the calibration matrix.
