An information handling system includes a memory module having a first thermal sensor for a first memory channel, and a second thermal sensor for a second memory channel. A processor receives a first temperature from the first thermal sensor and a second temperature from the second thermal sensor, and performs a first high bandwidth access of the first memory channel. In response to a predetermined amount of time ending, the processor: receives a third temperature from the first thermal sensor and a fourth temperature from the second thermal sensor; determines a first temperature delta based on a difference between the third and first temperatures; and determines a second temperature delta based on a difference between the fourth and second temperatures. Based on the first and second temperature deltas, the processor determines whether the first or second memory channel is an upstream memory channel.

Voice controlled remote thermometer

A wireless or remote thermometer connected with an artificial intelligence (AI) system. The thermometer may be in communication with a voice-activated AI system to implement operation thereof, such as a cloud-based AI system implemented on a smart audio interface. User-accessible controls for the thermometer may be activated using the voice-activated AI system on the audio interface. The thermometer may include a wireless transceiver for communication with a user. The thermometer collects temperature measurement data to remotely monitor the temperature of food or other materials. The thermometer connects and communicates wirelessly with a receiver unit, such as user smartphone, tablet, or other computerized device. The thermometer unit sends data, alerts or notifications to the delegated receiver, smart device, and/or audio interface, to the user. Communication between the thermometer and receiver unit may be through one or more communication pathways, which may be selected to provide delivery to the user device.

SEMICONDUCTOR DEVICE HAVING TEMPERATURE SENSOR CIRCUIT THAT DETECTS A TEMPERATURE RANGE UPPER LIMIT VALUE AND A TEMPERATURE RANGE LOWER LIMIT VALUE

Provided herein is a power distribution system comprising a main power bus, sub-buses coupled to the main power bus, and a controller. The sub-buses provide power to electrical components of a vehicle. Each of the sub-buses includes an electrically programmable fuse in series with a relay. The controller is configured to detect a fault in a sub-bus of the sub-buses, determine a fault type associated with the fault, and in response to determining the fault type, generate a command to cause the relay to change a relay state.

Apparatus that uses ultrasonic sensor for plurality of purposes

An image forming apparatus comprises an ultrasonic sensor and a processor is configured to control the image forming apparatus based on an output signal of the ultrasonic sensor. The processor estimates a barometric pressure based on the output signal of the ultrasonic sensor and determines an image forming condition based on the estimated barometric pressure. The ultrasonic sensor is utilized for controlling the image forming apparatus and for estimating the barometric pressure.

Optimization of power usage of data storage devices

Systems, methods and apparatuses to control power usage of a data storage device. For example, the data storage device has a temperature sensor configured to measure the temperature of the data storage device are provided. A controller of the data storage device determines a set of operating parameters that identify an operating condition of the data storage device. An inference engine of the data storage device determines, using an artificial neural network in the data storage device and based on the set of operating parameters, an operation schedule for a period of time of processing input and output of the data storage device. The operation schedule is configured to optimize a performance of the data storage device in the period of time without the temperature of the data storage device going above a threshold.

Configuration management based on thermal state

The systems and methods manage thermal states of a device through user configuration of a client application on the device. The systems and methods set thermal thresholds associated with the device. The systems and methods infer the thermal thresholds from information gathered by a client application running on the device. The systems and methods implement a stored policy associated with a violation of one of the thermal thresholds by one of the monitored thermal states.
