Sample processing apparatus
A sample processing apparatus includes a pipette configured to dispense a sample or a reagent and an arm supporting the pipette. A camera is configured to capture an image of a tip end of the pipette and a container to which the sample or the reagent is dispensed. A controller is programmed to determine, based on the image, an adjustment value for the arm such that the pipette is inserted into the container without collision.

Platelet cell data may be obtained from analysis of a blood sample by a hematology analyzer or like device. Systems and apparatus may process the platelet cell data in accordance with platelet parameter thresholds selected by a user. The platelet cell data may be categorized and displayed in, e.g., tabular and/or graphical form based on the user-selected platelet parameter thresholds. In order to aspire to higher sensitivity in an automatic analysis device, it is important to prevent the mixing of dust and the like in a reaction part in which a sample and a reagent react. The present invention presents an automatic analysis device that is provided with a configuration for making the pressure inside a specific block in the device such as a reaction part, or inside the device become positive. By making the pressure become positive and forming an air flow that flows out from the inside of the reaction part or the device, it is possible to limit, to a certain amount or less, the amount of dust penetrating into the reaction part.

A smear system includes smear preparing apparatus that prepares a smear slide and a smear transporting apparatus that transports the smear slide to a smear-image capture apparatus. A display unit of the present invention displays icons respectively for a series of process steps of a pretreatment unit and an analysis device on a setting screen. The display unit displays a first shutdown icon for a first shutdown step and a second shutdown icon for a second shutdown step in association with the icons respectively for the series of process steps, the first shutdown step being performed when the pretreatment unit and the analysis device end process steps without causing an error, the second shutdown step being performed when the pretreatment unit and the analysis device end the process steps as an error is caused while the process steps are performed.
