CHANNEL ACCESS TECHNIQUES FOR POSITIONING REFERENCE SIGNAL TRANSMISSION
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE) may belong to a group of UEs that includes at least a second UE and a third UE. The first UE may perform a channel access procedure and, when the channel access procedure is successful, may transmit a first positioning reference signal (PRS) over a sidelink communication link to the second and third UEs. The first UE may transmit the first PRS during a first time interval of a transmission window. Based on receiving the first PRS, the second UE may perform a channel access procedure and may transmit a second PRS to the first UE during a second time interval of the transmission window. The second PRS may be multiplexed (e.g., using frequency division multiplexing (FDM) or code division multiplexing (CDM)) with at least a third PRS transmitted by the third UE.
Data transmission in ranging rounds in UWB communication systems
A method and apparatus of a first network entity in a wireless communication system supporting ranging capability is provided. The method comprises: identifying, in a ranging block, one or more ranging rounds to transmit a ranging control message (RCM) and ranging ancillary data; generating the RCM including an advanced ranging control information element (ARC IE) that includes a ranging method field, wherein the ranging method field includes a value that indicates whether a ranging round following the RCM is used for ranging ancillary information exchange; transmitting, to a second network entity, the ranging ancillary data in the ranging round following the RCM when the value included in the ranging method field corresponds to ranging ancillary information exchange; and receiving, from the second network entity, an acknowledgement (ACK) corresponding to the ranging ancillary data.
SERVER DEVICE AND METHOD THEREFOR
A server device includes: a first receiver to receive, from a settlement terminal, settlement identification information for identifying a settlement method by which the settlement terminal makes a settlement, and portable terminal identification information for identifying portable terminals located within a predetermined distance, the portable terminal identification information being included in a radio wave sent out, and intensity information representing a radio wave intensity of the radio wave received by the settlement terminal; a correlation unit to correlate the portable terminal identification information corresponding to the intensity information of the highest radio wave intensity received by the first receiver, with the settlement identification information; a memory controller to store, in a memory, settlement record information that correlates the settlement identification information with the portable terminal identification information; and an estimation unit to estimate a settlement method used on a per portable terminal basis, based on pieces of the settlement record information stored in the memory.
INFORMATION PROVIDING METHOD, CONTROL METHOD, COMMUNICATION TERMINAL, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
A method includes: acquiring, from a store terminal via a network, limited product information indicating a limited product for which a time available for sale in one branch store corresponding to the store terminal is limited; acquiring, from a communication terminal of a user via the network, i) a request for a purchase menu of affiliated stores and ii) a branch store identifier (ID) specifying one branch store corresponding to a device ID specifying a beacon signal transmitter disposed in the one branch store; generating, based on the limited product information, the request for the purchase menu, and the branch store ID, privileged purchase menu information corresponding to the one branch store; and outputting the privileged purchase menu information to the communication terminal.
Apparatus and method for mitigating interference when phase ranging among beacons and tags
A communications system, including at least one tag and a plurality of beacons. The tags are configured to detect beacon advertisement messages, initiate a connection with at least one of the plurality of and transmit a Constant Tone (CT) to the at least one of the plurality of beacons. The tag is further configured to determine a location thereof based on the sampled CT from both the beacon and the tag and then report the location via the one of the beacons and/or an access point. Phase ranging mitigation techniques which include hop duplication, hop interpolation and ADC DC offset correction are employed so as to provide more accurate ranging values even in the case where there are many other devices in local proximity and which are competing for use of the same RF channels as those used by the tags and beacons.
SYSTEMS FOR IN-COVERAGE SIDELINK POSITIONING
A method performed for side-link (SL) configuration of a plurality of user equipment (UEs), the method comprising: sending, to a transmitting UE (Tx UE) and a receiving UE (Rx UE), a request for sidelink (SL) positioning reference signal (PRS) capabilities data; receiving, from each of the Tx UE and the Rx UE, respective SL PRS capabilities data; configuring a SL positioning reference signal (PRS) that is based on the SL PRS capabilities data for each of the Tx UE and the Rx UE; sending data specifying a selected SL PRS configuration to the Tx UE; receiving an acknowledgement signal from the Tx UE indicating a Tx UE SL PRS configuration that is based on the selected SL PRS configuration; and providing, to the Rx UE, the Tx UE SL PRS configuration.
Aggregated positioning signal processing management
A example method of determining a positioning signal measurement includes: sending, from a user equipment to a network entity, a processing-capability message indicating a processing capability of the user equipment for processing an aggregated positioning reference signal, where the processing-capability message corresponds to one or more assistance-data types; obtaining, at the user equipment, the aggregated positioning reference signal; and processing, at the user equipment, the aggregated positioning reference signal based on assistance data to determine the positioning signal measurement, the assistance data including the one or more assistance-data types.
Enhanced location tracking using ultra-wideband
Disclosed herein are systems and methods related to a wireless tracking system: The wireless tracking system having a plurality of beacons, each of the plurality of beacons having at least one antenna and at least one power source. When the at least one antenna is supplied with power via the power source, a local ping is transmitted from the beacon. A wireless tracking device then receives the ping via its own antenna. Once the wireless tracking device has received a locational ping from at least two of the plurality of beacons, it can then calculate a direct connection path between the at least to beacons. Based on this known path, the wireless tracking device can then determine a distance between the wireless tracking device and connection path. Based on the determined distance, the wireless tracking device may then issue a corrective measure.
Resilient Distributed Positioning Networks
Co-channel beacon transmissions are provided with at least one of spectral redundancy and temporal redundancy. A receiver produces a snapshot of a superposition of received co-channel beacon transmissions. Subcarrier demodulation, code nulling, or a Class-C linear minimum-mean-square error (MMSE) operation separates multiples ones of the co-channel beacon transmissions or eliminates inter-symbol interference and inter-subcarrier interference in the snapshot. Receiver operations can be performed at a network user, a network node, or a network operations center.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR UWB COMMUNICATION
A method performed by a first ultra-wideband (UWB) device in a wireless communication is provided. The method includes configuring the first UWB device as an advertiser and transmitting a UWB message for advertisement, wherein the UWB message is used for measuring an angle of arrival (AoA).
