DISPLAY DEVICE
A display device is provided. The display device includes a transparent substrate, a display, an antenna module, and a plurality of first conductive structures. The display emits image light to the transparent substrate. The antenna module emits a first beam to the transparent substrate. The plurality of first conductive structures is disposed on a first surface of the transparent substrate and a travel path of the image light, and forms a first conductive pattern. The plurality of first conductive structures change a direction of the first beam and generate a second beam to an object.
Protecting data memory in a signal processing system
Data memory protection is provided for a signal processing system such as a radar system in which the data memory is protected with a common set of parity bits rather than requiring a set of parity bits for each memory word as in Error Correction Coded (ECC) memories. The common set of parity bits may be updated as memory words in the data memory are accessed as part of signal processing of one or more digital signals. The memory protection ensures that in the absence of memory errors the common parity bits are zero at the end of processing the digital signals as long as each word in the data memory that is used for storing the signal processing data is written and read an equal number of times.
Interferometrics for mesa radar
The present disclosure is a system comprising at least three electronically steered antennas arranged so that there is a baseline difference of a predetermined amount of wavelength between the centers of the antennas, typically configured as an obtuse or scalene triangle, where the distance between each antenna on an array is selected to provide the required accuracy and precision, the array having a timing circuit to ensure that the beam of each antenna is steered to the same azimuthal and elevation coordinates in space simultaneously. This enables the three electronically steered antennas to operate as an interferometer to determine a bearing to a target to ultimately determine the location thereof. The electronically steered antennas enable the system to be mounted on a platform in a small package that was previously difficult for traditional interferometers.
OBJECT RECOGNITION DEVICE AND OBJECT RECOGNITION METHOD
Provided is an object recognition device including a prediction processing unit, a temporary setting unit, and a association processing unit. The prediction processing unit predicts, as a prediction position on an object model obtained by modeling a tracking target, a position of a movement destination of the tracking target based on a trajectory formed by movement of at least one object of a plurality of objects as the tracking target. The temporary setting unit sets, based on specifications of a sensor that has detected the tracking target, a position of at least one candidate point on the object model. The association processing unit sets, based on the position of the candidate point and the prediction position, a reference position on the object model. The association processing unit determines whether the position of the detection point and the prediction position associate with each other based on a positional relationship between a association range which is set so that the association range has a reference position on the object model as a reference and a detection point at a time when the sensor has detected the at least one object of the plurality of objects.
METHOD FOR DETECTING AT LEAST ONE ROAD USER
The invention relates to a method for detecting at least one road user on a traffic route by means of a radar sensor and an optical detector, wherein with said method radar radiation is emitted by at least one radar transmitter of the radar sensor and reflected by the at least one road user, the reflected radar radiation is detected by means of at least one radar receiver of the radar sensor, the detected radar radiation is evaluated in such a way that at least one distance and one radial velocity of the at least one road user relative to the radar sensor is determined, an optical image of the at least one road user is detected by means of the optical detector, and the optical image is evaluation,
wherein at least one parameter of the at least one road user is determined both from the detected radar radiation and the optical image.
System and methods to neutralize an attacking UAV based on acoustic features
A distributed airborne acoustic anti-drone intelligence system (DAAADS) which senses an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) approaching a protected site, predicts trajectories of the UAV which intersect the protected site and identifies the type of the UAV. When at least one of the trajectories intersect the protected site, an alarm and predicted trajectories are transmitted to an air defense unit, which neutralizes the UAV. Debris generated by the neutralization is tracked and trajectories of the debris are predicted. When a trajectory of the debris is predicted to intersect with the protected site, an alert is transmitted to the protected site.
Methods and apparatus to improve doppler velocity estimation
Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed to improve Doppler velocity estimation. An example apparatus is disclosed including a transmitter to transmit a first sweep signal at a first position in a first block of time during a transmit time sequence pattern, and transmit a second sweep signal at a second position in a second block of time during the transmit time sequence pattern, the second position different than the first position. The example apparatus also includes a velocity analyzer to determine a velocity and a direction of arrival of a target object identified during the transmit time sequence pattern.
SENSING DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING THE DELIVERY OF CARE TO IMMOBILE PATIENTS
The present disclosure relates to the reduction of pressure ulcers and falls with respect to patients with physical or cognitive impairments who are in bed. A control system assures that the bed and ancillary apparatus are physically set and that patient behaviors are responded to by care providers. Motion is monitored with a non-mutually exclusive portfolio of sensors, and this information is used by one or more reasoning engines. An integrated clinical workflow is informed by the patterns of movement and then the physical environment, patient interaction, and care provider workflow are controlled to reduce the incidence of falls and pressure ulcers in bed ridden patients.
FLOW METER WITH ADAPTABLE BEAM CHARACTERISTICS
An embodiment provides a device for measuring a fluid parameter of fluid flow in a channel, including: a transmitter; at least one receiver; a processor operatively coupled to the at least one transmitter and the at least one receiver; a memory device that stores instructions executable by the processor to: transmit, using the transmitter, directed energy carrying a signal toward a surface of a fluid in a fluid channel, so as to produce one or more reflections from the fluid surface; detect, by the at least one receiver, one or more received signals associated with the one or more reflections so produced; determine, based upon a measurement beam comprising characteristics of the transmitted and received signals, one or more fluid parameters to be measured using a processor of the device; and associate, using a processor of the device, the one or more fluid parameters with a channel segment. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
Fast chirp synthesis via segmented frequency shifting
In an illustrative integrated circuit, a chirp generator provides a chirp signal having linearly-ramped chirp intervals, while a shift frequency generator provides a signal having a different shift frequency during each of multiple segments in each chirp interval. A modulator combines the signals to derive a segmented chirp signal having multiple linearly-ramped chirp segments in each chirp interval. The modulator may be a single sideband modulator to provide frequency up-shifted and frequency down-shifted chirp segments. The segmented chirp signal may be suppressed during resettling intervals of the original chirp signal.
