METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE
A method of controlling a household appliance including receiving a device connection request signal through ultra wideband (UWB) communication from a user terminal, obtaining location information of the user terminal based on the received device connection request signal, establishing a UWB communication channel between the household appliance and the user terminal based on the obtained location information. The method includes receiving network access information to access a network from the user terminal through the established UWB communication channel, and establishing a network connection for the household appliance to access the network based on the received network access information.
Devices, Systems and Methods for Detecting Locations of Wireless Communication Devices
A device for estimating a fixed position of a wireless communication is provided. The device comprises a radio connected to an antenna array, a memory and a process. The radio can receive a first signal transmitted from a first direction by the wireless communication device to the movable device, and a second signal transmitted from a second direction by the wireless communication device to the movable device. The processor can calculate a first angle of arrival (AOA) a second AOA. The processor can estimate the fixed position of the wireless communication device based on the first AOA, the second AOA, the first position and the second position.
Interferometric location sensing
A method for location finding includes detecting a respective phase difference between the received radio signals that are associated with each of the multiple antennas of each of the fixed transceivers. One or more respective angles are computed between each of the fixed transceivers and the mobile transceiver based on the respective phase differences. Location coordinates of the mobile transceiver are found based on the angles and the transmit locations of the transmitters.
INDOOR-OUTDOOR DUAL-USE HIGH PRECISION POSITIONING SYSTEM
Outdoor positioning for a plurality of mobile terminals is performed using an indoor positioning system including a plurality of base stations, by (a) installing the plurality of base stations on respective outdoor locations in an outdoor area, where the base stations are configured to use a predetermined communications link for indoor positioning at indoor locations, (b) performing independent precise positioning at each of the plurality of base stations using a plurality of GNSS signals, thereby determining a precise position of the outdoor location of each base station without surveying or measuring the installed location thereof, and (c) performing outdoor positioning of the plurality of mobile terminals in the outdoor area using the determined precise position of each of the plurality of base stations in a same manner as the indoor positioning, by receiving, at the plurality of base stations, signals from the respective mobile terminals via the predetermined communications link.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM, PROGRAM, AND COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM
The present invention is an information processor including: a storage configured to store information related to an area in which a user moves around; a position calculator configured to calculate, based on a transmission signal of a communication device that moves together with the user, positions in the area of the communication device with the lapse of time; and a measuring unit configured to measure time during which each of virtual points continuously exists in a region with movement of the user, each of the virtual points being defined at a point of intersection between virtual lines that are arranged in grid in the area, the region centering at each position that is calculated by the position calculator, wherein a size of the region is set to contain at least two of the virtual points.
GEOLOCATING EMITTERS
Geolocating one or more emitters includes obtaining a set of lines of bearing (LOBs) indicative of location(s) of emitter(s), determining intersections of LOBs of the set and generating clusters informed by those intersections, assigning the LOBs of the set to cluster(s) based on proximity, identifying a cluster having the greatest number of assigned LOBs from the set; determining an emitter location area based on a best point estimate for the cluster, and indicating a location of an emitter as the emitter location area. Additional emitters can be located by removing from the set of LOBs those LOBs assigned to the identified cluster, and repeating aforementioned aspects. Initially, the set of LOBs can be selected from a larger collection as a representative subset thereof.
AoX Multipath Detection
A system and method for detecting a multipath environment is disclosed. A first pseudospectrum based on azimuth angle and elevation angle is created. The result of this first pseudospectrum are used to create a second pseudospectrum based on polarization and field ratio. The sharpness of the results for these two pseudospectrums is determined and may be used to detect whether a multipath environment exists. If a multipath environment is believed to exist, the results from this device are ignored in determining the spatial position of the object.

TECHNIQUES TO DISAMBIGUATE ANGLE OF ARRIVAL
In some aspects, a mobile device may receive, from a transmitting device, the signal by a plurality of antennas. The mobile device may measure one or more phase differences among the signal received at the plurality of antennas. The mobile device may determine a first set of possible values for the angle of arrival that are consistent with the one or more phase differences. The mobile device may measure one or more signal values using one or more sensors of the mobile device. The mobile device may for each of the first set of possible values, determining a confidence score based on the one or more signal values. The mobile device may select, based on the confidence scores, one of the first set of possible values as the angle of arrival.
