Ultrasound imaging system with automatic image saving
Ultrasound imaging systems for automatically identifying and saving ultrasound images relevant to a needle injection procedure, and associated systems and methods, are described herein. For example, an ultrasound imaging system includes a transducer for transmitting/receiving ultrasound signals during a needle injection procedure, and receive circuitry configured to convert the received ultrasound signals into ultrasound image data. The image data can be stored in a buffer memory. A processor can analyze the image data stored in the buffer memory to identify image data that depicts a specified injection event of the needle injection procedure, and the identified image data can be stored in a memory for archival purposes.

Ultrasonic quality control using filtered image data
An ultrasonic quality control as disclosed can inspect a quality of a piece and classify the piece automatically. The piece can be scanned, and an image formed from the scanning. A reference piece is also scanned, and a reference image is formed. A negative image of the reference image is formed, and an indication image is created by utilizing the image and the negative image. The indication image is filtered by utilizing several image filters, each image filter filtering all data of the indication image except an image filter specific indication level data. Further several indication levels data are provided from the image filter specific indication level data, and the piece can be classified utilizing the several indication levels data.
Functional Ultrasound Imaging for Spinal Cord Stimulation Electrode Guidance and Stimulation Parameter Optimization
Functional ultrasound imaging (“fUS”) is used to facilitate the placement of electrodes for spinal cord stimulation and to optimize and update stimulation parameters for spinal cord stimulation devices.
Method and a device for imaging a visco-elastic medium
The method includes excitation during which an internal mechanical stress is generated in an excitation zone, and imaging by acquiring signals during movements generated by the mechanical stress in the visco-elastic medium in response to the internal mechanical stress in an. imaging zone that includes the excitation zone. The method further includes calculating a quantitative index associated with the rheological properties of the visco-elastic medium at least at one point of the imaging zone situated at a given depth outside the excitation zone. The quantitative index is representative of a comparison between signals acquired during the movements generated in response to the mechanical stress at least at one point of the excitation zone situated at the given depth, and signals acquired during the movements generated in response to the mechanical stress at at least the point of the imaging zone situated outside the excitation zone.
Method for tissue characterization by ultrasound wave attenuation measurements and ultrasound system for tissue characterization
A method for tissue characterization by ultrasound wave attenuation measurements is provided that comprises: a) transmitting at least an ultrasound pulse in a target body; b) receiving ultrasound pulses reflected by the target body and transforming the reflected ultrasound pulses into RF reception signals; c) extracting an envelope of the received RF signals; d) carrying out a logarithmic compression of the extracted envelope and e) computing a propagation depth dependent attenuation coefficient of the tissues crossed by the ultrasound pulse in the target body as the slope of the line fitting the logarithmic compressed envelope data along the penetration depth of the ultrasound pulse in the target body. The disclosure relates also to an ultrasound system for carrying out the method.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING SIGNALS FROM A SET OF ULTRASONIC TRANSDUCERS
A processing system for processing signals from a plurality of transducers of an ultrasonic sensor in order to determine characteristic information relating to an object detected by the ultrasonic sensor is provided. The system comprises a coupling device for transforming the signals received from the transducers into pulses, and a pulse processing unit for determining the characteristic information based on the pulses delivered by the coupling device. The coupling device comprises: a thresholding unit for applying, for each signal received from a transducer, thresholding to a signal derived from the signal received from the transducer and extracting directional information contained in the phase of the derived signal; a transformation unit for transforming the derived signal into pulses containing the phase of the signal, using the information extracted by the thresholding unit.
ULTRASOUND-BASED CHARACTERIZATION OF PARTICLES IN A FLUID-FILLED HOLLOW STRUCTURE
In accordance with a method for characterization of particles in a fluid-filled hollow structure, an ultrasound signal with a frequency spectrum, which exhibits a local maximum at a variable measurement frequency, is emitted in the direction of a part area of the hollow structure and reflected components are detected. The measurement frequency is tuned in a predetermined measurement interval, and depending on the detected reflected components, a spectral response curve is acquired as a function of the measurement frequency. Depending on the response curve, at least one characteristic property for a part of the particles located in the part area of the hollow structure is determined. The characteristic property includes a measure for an adhesion of the particles of the part of the particles located in the part area of the hollow structure.

Systems and methods for calculating a plant spread and a plant density of vegetation are provided. An ultrasonic signal is transmitted towards vegetation by one or more transducers. A plurality of echo signals is received as reflections of the ultrasonic signal by the one or more transducers. A plant spread of the vegetation is calculated based on a first echo signal of the plurality of echo signals and a last echo signal of the plurality of echo signals. A plant density of the vegetation is calculated based on the plurality of echo signals. The plant spread and the plant density of the vegetation are output.
METHOD AND SYSTEM, USING AN AI MODEL, FOR IDENTIFYING AND PREDICTING OPTIMAL FETAL IMAGES FOR GENERATING AN ULTRASOUND MULTIMEDIA PRODUCT
A multi-media product is created from fetal ultrasound images, during scanning of a fetus using an ultrasound scanner, and employs a specifically trained artificial intelligence (AI) model to execute on a computing device communicably connected to an ultrasound scanner, wherein the AI model is trained so that when the AI model is deployed, the computing device identifies and selects one or more fetal anatomical features, in whole or part, imaged in fetal ultrasound imaging data generated during ultrasound scanning as part of a clinical exam of the fetus, wherein the selected one or more fetal anatomical features are visually appealing for entertainment and keepsake purposes and are not part of a clinical assessment of the health or growth of the fetus and wherein after acquiring a new fetal ultrasound image during ultrasound scanning, the AI model selects the one or more fetal anatomical features, in whole or part, which are visually appealing for entertainment and keepsake purposes and are not part of a clinical assessment of the health or growth of the fetus and those selected non-clinical images are then used to generate the entertainment focused multi-media product.
