20230228929 · 2023-07-20 ·

A device carrier for an information handling system includes a latch, an interface, lights located on a front of the latch, and first and second light pipes. The latch holds the device carrier within the information handling system. The first light pipes are located within the latch, and provide light to the lights located on the front of the latch. The second light pipes are located within the interface and the latch, and provide the light to the first light pipes. The location of the second light pipes enables the same brightness of the light provided to the lights when a long device is inserted within the device carrier as compared to when a short device is inserted within the device carrier.

PROJECTION SYSTEM
20230224439 · 2023-07-13 ·

A projection system includes a light source unit, a spatial light modulation unit, and a projection optical system. Light source unit includes an optical fiber, a first light source part, and a second light source part. Optical fiber includes a light incident portion, a light emerging portion and a wavelength-converting portion. Wavelength-converting portion is disposed between light incident portion and light emerging portion. Wavelength-converting portion includes wavelength-converting elements. Wavelength-converting elements are able to be excited by excitation light to produce spontaneous emission of light having a longer wavelength than excitation light, and also excited by amplified spontaneous emission of light. First light source part makes excitation light incident on light incident portion. Second light source part makes seed light incident on light incident portion. Seed light causes wavelength-converting elements excited by excitation light or amplified spontaneous emission of light to produce stimulated emission of light.

EXTERNAL INDICATOR ASSEMBLY FOR A ROBOT CENTRAL PROCESSING UNIT
20230015577 · 2023-01-19 ·

An external indicator assembly for a central processing unit (CPU) disposed within an equipment cabinet, including: an internal fitting adapted to be disposed adjacent to indicator lights associated with the CPU; an external fitting adapted to be coupled to or disposed through an external surface of the equipment cabinet; and one or more optical fibers adapted to be coupled between the internal fitting and the external fitting such that light from the indicator lights is transmitted from the CPU disposed within the equipment cabinet external to the equipment cabinet such that the light is visible to a person external to the equipment cabinet. This allows the person to visually assess the status or power-down cycling of the CPU during a shutdown or restart process without or before opening the equipment cabinet, thereby preventing corruption of the CPU and assuring personal safety by avoiding contact with powered components.
