The flexible display panel may include a display layer, a bonding layer, and a support layer. The bonding layer may be bonded between the display layer and the support layer. The support layer and the bonding layer may include buffer openings. The buffer openings may be positioned to at least correspond to the bending part.
UPDATING A DISPLAY BY APPLYING PRESSURE
A display device is described which can be updated by applying pressure with a passive object. The display device comprises a transparent top conductor layer, a middle conductor layer and a bottom conductor layer. The middle conductor layer is segmented into a plurality of independent areas and a pixel of the display device is defined based at least in part on the way that the middle conductor layer is segmented. The display device further comprises an electrophoretic ink layer between the top and middle conductor layers, a layer of piezo-electric material between the middle and bottom conductor layers, and an electrical connection between the bottom and top conductor layers.
MICROCAVITY ARRAY FOR SPECTRAL IMAGING
Tunable filter arrays include an array of liquid crystal (LC) tunable Fabry-Perot (FP) microcavities. The microcavities are defined by first and second reflectors and an LC layer situated between the reflectors. The tunable filter is secured to an image sensor array so that the LC tunable microcavities are coupled to respective photodetectors of the image sensor array. Patterned electrodes are situated about the LC layer to tune the microcavities.
Display apparatus
The present disclosure relates to a display apparatus, and more particularly, to a display apparatus having a display panel capable of generating sound. A display apparatus according to the present disclosure includes: a display module; a guide panel disposed at circumferences of a rear surface of the display module; a back cover attached to the guide panel; a sound generating unit disposed between the display module and the back cover; and an adhesive fixing element and a vibration absorber disposed between the guide panel and the rear surface of the display module, wherein the adhesive fixing element fasten the guide panel to the rear surface of the display module, and wherein the vibration absorber is disposed at the guide panel as facing to inner portions of the display module.
Touch Panel, Method for Manufacturing the Same and Touch Display Panel
A touch panel, a method for manufacturing the same and a touch display panel are disclosed. The touch panel includes a touch region and a peripheral region, the touch region includes a touch structure disposed on a base substrate; the peripheral region includes a plurality of piezoelectric power generating components disposed on the base substrate, the piezoelectric power generating components are configured for providing energy at least to the touch structure; and each of the piezoelectric power generating component includes a first electrode, a second electrode and a power generating layer disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode, and the power generating layer is of a piezoelectric material.
Transparent parametric transducer and related methods
A transparent ultrasonic emitter includes a first transparent conductive layer; a second transparent conductive layer; and a plurality of transparent spacers disposed between the first and second transparent layers conductive of the ultrasonic audio speaker, the transparent spacers having a thickness and being arranged to define an open area between the first and second transparent layers.
Electroacoustic converter film, flexible display, vocal cord microphone, and musical instrument sensor
Provided is an electroacoustic converter film including: a polymeric composite piezoelectric body having piezoelectric particles dispersed in a viscoelastic matrix which is formed of a polymer material exhibiting viscoelasticity at ordinary temperatures; thin film electrodes formed on both sides of the polymeric composite piezoelectric body; and protective layers formed on surfaces of the thin film electrodes. The electroacoustic converter film serves as a speaker capable of being integrated with a flexible display without impairing lightweightness or flexibility, and has considerable frequency dispersion in the storage modulus and also has a local maximum of the loss tangent around ordinary temperatures. A flexible display, a vocal cord microphone and a musical instrument sensor, in each of which the electroacoustic converter film is used, are also provided.
DISPLAY APPARATUS
The vibrating element generates vibration in the touch panel. In the display apparatus, there exist three directions including an x-axis direction and a y-axis direction along the display surface and a z-axis direction orthogonal to the display surface. The plurality of supports are configured such that touch panel does not move in the x-axis direction and the z-axis direction being two directions included in the three directions. Of the three directions, the direction other than the two directions coincides with a vibration direction being a direction of vibration generated by the vibrating element. The touch panel is configured so that the touch panel is configured to move in the vibration direction.
APPARATUS
An apparatus comprises a display panel configured to display an image, a vibration apparatus disposed at a rear surface of the display panel and configured to vibrate the display panel, a supporting member disposed at the rear surface of the display panel and including a first member and a second member, and the first member and the second member are disposed on a same surface as the supporting member.
PIEZO-ELECTROPHORETIC FILM INCLUDING PATTERNED PIEZO POLARITIES FOR CREATING IMAGES VIA ELECTROPHORETIC MEDIA
Low-profile piezo-electrophoretic films and display films including low profile piezo-electrophoretic films. In some embodiments, the piezoelectric material of the piezo-electrophoretic films can be patterned with high-voltage electric fields after fabrication of the piezo-electrophoretic films. Such films are useful as security markers, authentication films, or sensors. The films are generally flexible. Some films are less than 100 μm in thickness. Displays formed from the films do not require an external power source.
