Display device
According to one embodiment, a display device includes a first substrate having a first transparent substrate and a pixel electrode, a second substrate having a second transparent substrate, a first common electrode, a second common electrode, and an insulating film disposed between the first common electrode and the second common electrode, and a liquid crystal layer. The first common electrode is disposed between the liquid crystal layer and the insulating film, and includes a first opening and a first electrode portion. The second common electrode is disposed between the insulating film and the second transparent substrate, and includes a second electrode portion overlapping the first opening.
Object provided with an electro-optic display device
An object includes an electro-optic display device provided with an optically active element, the optical properties thereof can be modified by applying an electric voltage or current between at least one electrode and one corresponding auxiliary electrode, between which the optically active element is disposed. The object further includes a middle part which delimits an opening closed by a crystal including a bottom surface beneath which the electro-optic display device is arranged. The crystal is provided with an opaque frame which is made remotely from the edges of the opening and which covers the contour of the electro-optic display device so as to conceal electrical connection elements. The electro-optic display device defines an active display area which is confined by the opaque frame, such that, when the electro-optic display device is activated and displaying information, a transparent area remains between the opaque frame and the edges of the opening.
Display panel
A display substrate including a scan driving circuit, a scan line, and an insulating pattern. The scan driving circuit includes a connection electrode disposed on a plurality of insulating layers, a plurality of signal lines, and a stage circuit connected to the signal lines and overlaps a non-display area. The scan line overlaps a display area and is connected to the scan driving circuit. The insulating pattern is disposed on the insulating layers, covers the connection electrode, and makes contact with a sealant.
EDGE-TO-EDGE DISPLAY WITH A SENSOR REGION
A portable information handling system housing integrates a display having an edge-to-edge presentation of visual images at a housing portion with an inactive portion of a display panel along a perimeter of the display having a sensor region that provides access to underlying sensors through the display. A sealant and black matrix disposed in the inactive region limits illumination that escapes from an active region and provides an aesthetically appealing edge-to-edge appearance. Openings in the sealant and black matrix at the sensor locations provides access through the display, such as with index matching resin that passes illumination and a patterned covering of the black matrix.
Dual-layer display assembly and display device
The application discloses a dual-layer display assembly and a display device. The dual-layer display assembly includes a first display screen, a second display screen, a first print circuit board, a second print circuit board and a fixing structure, where the second display screen is arranged in layers with the first display screen; the first print circuit board drives the first display screen; the second print circuit board drives the second display screen; and the fixing structure connects and fixes the first print circuit board and the second print circuit board.

Display unit, electronic apparatus including the same, and method of manufacturing the electronic apparatus
A display unit includes a display panel, a circuit board bent from a front surface of the display panel toward a rear surface of the display panel, a window disposed on the front surface of the display panel to cover an active area, and a cover panel film disposed on the rear surface of the display panel and disposed between the display panel and the circuit board. The cover panel film includes a first portion overlapping with the display panel, and a second portion extending from the first portion to protrude from the display panel when viewed in a plan view. The second portion is disposed between the circuit board and the window when viewed in a cross-sectional view.

DISPLAY DEVICE
To provide a display device including a flexible panel that can be handled without seriously damaging a driver circuit or a connecting portion between circuits. The display device includes a bent portion obtained by bending an element substrate. A circuit for driving the display device is provided in the bent portion and a wiring extends from the circuit, whereby the strength of a portion including the circuit for driving the display device is increased and failure of the circuit is reduced. Furthermore, the element substrate is bent in a connecting portion between an external terminal electrode and an external connecting wiring (FPC) so that the element substrate provided with the external terminal electrode fits the external connecting wiring, whereby the strength of the connecting portion is increased.
LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE
Provided is a liquid crystal display device, including: a plurality of scanning connection lines formed on at least one side of edges of the image display region, the plurality of scanning connection lines connecting together a scanning signal drive circuit and a plurality of scanning signal lines; a selection circuit formed so as to be interposed between the plurality of scanning connection lines and the plurality of scanning signal lines, the selection circuit being configured to selectively short-circuit one of a plurality of the scanning signal lines to one of the plurality of scanning connection lines based on a selection signal; and a selection signal line connected to the selection circuit, the selection signal line transmitting the selection signal to the selection circuit.
