OPTICAL FILM AND BACK LIGHT UNIT INCUDING THE SAME
A backlight unit includes a light source, a color conversion sheet disposed above the light source for converting a color of light emitted from the light source, and at least one optical film is disposed over the color conversion sheet. The one optical film has a base film, a first pattern layer including first patterns on one surface of the base film, and a second pattern layer disposed on the other surface of the base film and including second patterns different from the first patterns.
DISPLAY DEVICE
A light shielding layer overlapping with a peripheral region of a display device includes extension portions each extending along a Y direction, bent portions located between the extension portions, and another extension portion located between the bent portions. In a region overlapping with the another extension portion, an enable line (first potential supply line), which supplies a potential to a plurality of scanning signal lines via a driving circuit (first driving circuit), goes through a wiring layer (first wiring layer) and another wiring layer (second wiring layer) made of a material having resistivity lower than that of the wiring layer.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY PANEL AND A LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY PANEL
A method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display panel and a liquid crystal display panel are provided. The method of manufacturing a liquid crystal display panel comprises the following steps: grinding the display device along a preset edge and removing the adhesive layer on a side of the preset edge away from a frame sealant, to obtain the liquid crystal display panel.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE
An electronic device includes a display panel having a display surface that includes a first region and a second region. The display panel outputs a first light in the first region and a second light in the second region. The first light has a first normal brightness in a first orthogonal direction and a first oblique brightness in a first inclined direction. The second light has a second normal brightness in a second orthogonal direction and a second oblique brightness in a second inclined direction. The included angles between the orthogonal directions and the corresponding inclined directions are acute angles. A ratio of a difference between the first normal brightness and the second normal brightness to the first normal brightness is less than a ratio of a difference between the first oblique brightness and the second oblique brightness to the first oblique brightness is defined as a second ratio.
Display device
According to one embodiment, a display device includes a first transparent substrate including a first end portion, a second transparent substrate including a second end portion and opposing the first transparent substrate and a plurality of light-emitting devices provided along the second end portion, and the first transparent substrate includes a first driver provided in a first region located between the first end portion and the second end portion and located without overlapping the second transparent substrate in planar view, the second end portion includes a concavity, and at least one first light-emitting device of the light emitting devices, provided along the concavity, oppose the first driver with a predetermined interval therebetween.
Display device
According to one embodiment, a display device includes a switching element, a common electrode, an insulating film covering the common electrode, a first pixel electrode electrically connected to the switching element in a first contact hole penetrating the insulating film, and a transparent conductive film electrically connected to the common electrode in a second contact hole penetrating the insulating film. The first pixel electrode and the transparent conductive film are arranged in a first direction in a same layer. A size of the first contact hole and a size of the second contact hole are different from each other in planar view.
Display apparatus having a notch
A display apparatus includes a substrate which includes a first pixel area and a second pixel area. A third pixel area is spaced apart from the second pixel area. A notch peripheral area is adjacent to the first, second and third pixel areas. A plurality of pixels are provided in the first, second and third pixel areas. A first scan line is disposed on the substrate. The first scan line includes a first portion disposed in the second pixel area, a second portion disposed in the third pixel area, and a third portion which connects the first portion to the second portion. The third portion is disposed in the notch peripheral area. A second scan line is disposed on the substrate in the first pixel area. A surface area of the first scan line is from about 90% to about 110% of a surface area of the second scan line.
LIQUID CRYSTAL WINDOW BONDING AND SEALING
Described herein are liquid crystal (LC) assemblies that are dimmable and techniques for manufacturing LC assemblies. In one example, an LC assembly comprises: a first curved glass panel, a second curved glass panel, and a liquid crystal panel having a first outer surface and a second outer surface, a layer of a liquid adhesive attaching the first curved glass panel and the first outer surface of the liquid crystal panel, and a film adhesive attaching the second curved glass panel and the second outer surface of the liquid crystal panel.
Switchable objects and methods of manufacture
A simplified switchable object and methods of making same are provided. The methods may include steps of applying a switchable material on a first surface of a first substrate, the switchable material having a thickness and a shape; applying a barrier material on the first substrate, circumferential to the switchable material; and applying a second substrate over top of, and in contact with, the switchable material and the barrier material, the first substrate, second substrate and barrier material defining a closed chamber encapsulating the switchable material. The methods may further include a step of applying a seal material.
