A webcam, a privacy shutter mechanism, and method of electrically activating the privacy mechanism are described. The privacy shutter is part of a webcam and includes privacy shutter mechanism chassis; an electrically activated coil mechanism mounted on privacy shutter mechanism chassis; a locking mechanism mounted on the electrically activated coil mechanism; a shutter plane with a shutter that locks with the locking mechanism, wherein the electrically activated coil mechanism moves the shutter plane in place to open or close the shutter; a fixture having a shutter opening attached to the privacy shutter mechanism chassis; and a shutter locking mechanism that is electrically activated to lock or unlock when the shutter is close or open.

Image capturing device

An image capturing device including a casing, an image capturing module disposed in the casing, a positioning member slidably disposed in the casing, a memory alloy spring disposed in the casing, a restoring spring disposed in the casing, a shielding member corresponding to the image capturing module and slidably disposed in the casing, and a switch slidably disposed on the casing and connected to the shielding member is provided. Two ends of the memory alloy spring are respectively connected to the positioning member and the casing. Two ends of the restoring spring are respectively connected to the positioning member and the casing, and the memory alloy spring and the restoring spring are respectively located at two opposite sides of the positioning member. The shielding member is connected to the positioning member and is configured to block or unblock a light path of the image capturing device.

Camera assembly

Disclosed are aspects of a camera assembly, including a sensor for sampling image data in a sampling step. A lens is provided for focussing light onto the sensor. A window is supported in front of the lens. The window includes a transparency changing material for varying the transmittance of light through the window in response to an input signal. The camera assembly is configured to thereby increase the transmittance of light through the window during the sampling step of the sensor.

Optical system

The present disclosure provides an optical system, including a first optical mechanism. The first optical mechanism includes a first movable part, a fixed assembly, a first driving assembly and a guiding assembly. The first movable part includes an optical element. The first movable part is movable relative to the fixed assembly. The first driving assembly is configured to drive the first movable part to move relative to the fixed assembly. The guiding assembly is configured to guide the first movable part to move relative to the fixed assembly. A friction force is generated between the first movable part and the guiding assembly, and the first movable part is temporarily positioned on the fixed assembly through the friction force.

ELECTRONIC APPARATUS AND SLIDE MECHANISM

A slide mechanism includes: a slider that is movable between a first position and a second position along an edge wall; a shield cover on the slider, the shield cover being located to cover the front of the camera when the slider is in the first position and located to be away from the front of the camera when the slider is in the second position; a movable magnet at the slider; and a fixed magnet at the chassis. The movable magnet and the fixed magnet are disposed to face each other so that when the slider is in the first position and the second position, the movable magnet and the fixed magnet attract to each other, and when the slider is located between the first position and the second position, the movable magnet and the fixed magnet repel each other.

A blade open-close device includes a blade for which an open or closed state is easily viewable from outside. A blade open-close device includes a base having a base opening, and a cover covering the base and having a cover opening adjacent to the base opening in the base in Z-direction. The blade open-close device further includes a blade movable in X-direction in a blade chamber between the base and the cover and including a light emitter that emits light, and an actuator that moves the blade to a closing position to expose at least part of the light emitter in the blade through the cover opening and retracts the blade to an opening position to allow the cover opening and the base opening to communicate with each other.
