The developing device includes a reverse helical section that is disposed in front of a support that supports the second transport member. The reverse helical section helically extends in a reverse direction relative to a helical section provided for circulating the developer, the developer being transported to the ejecting path by the reverse helical section.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes a controller configured to execute a discharging operation for discharging a toner from a developing device onto an image bearing member in a region corresponding to an interval between a recording material and a subsequent recording material in a continuous image forming job. The controller executes the discharging operation on the basis of integral information based on a relationship of a predetermined deterioration threshold with a value correlating with an amount of toner consumption. The controller changes the relationship based on a detected temperature upon toner consumption, and the controller changes the relationship so that when a temperature obtained on the basis of detected information is not less than a predetermined temperature, execution of the discharging operation is promoted more than when the obtained temperature is less than a predetermined temperature.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM, AND NOTIFICATION METHOD
An image forming apparatus includes: an image forming portion that includes a developing portion configured to supply toner to an image bearing member bearing an electrostatic latent image formed thereon to develop the electrostatic latent image as a toner image, and is configured to form a toner image on a long paper sheet; a notification portion configured to notify a user about information; and a control portion configured to calculate, in accordance with coverage of a toner image that is a target of image formation, a toner image formation distance with which successive image formation is possible without forcibly discharging degraded toner from the developing portion, and to control the notification portion to notify the calculated toner image formation distance as a first toner image formation distance.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus has a photosensitive drum configured to bear a developer image, a developing apparatus having a developing roller that bears developer and a developing blade that regulates the amount of the developer on the developing roller, and a detection portion that detects information on the amount of the developer stored in the developing apparatus. The image forming apparatus performs a discharging operation for discharging a coating agent, applied to a developing roller in an unused state, from the developing apparatus to the photosensitive drum, while varying an operational condition for the discharging operation varied based on the information.
Recovery container and powder coating device
A recovery container includes: a container body that is attachable to and detachable from an attachment target and capable of accommodating a powder; a first insertion portion that is provided at the container body, is capable of protruding from one of two wall portions of the container body at opposite sides in a direction intersecting an attachment direction of the container body, and is to be inserted into a first opening provided in a portion of the attachment target facing the one of the two wall portions by movement in a protruding direction of the first insertion portion; a second insertion portion that is provided at the container body, is capable of protruding from other of the two wall portions to a side opposite to the first insertion portion, and is to be inserted into a second opening provided in a portion of the attachment target facing the other of the two wall portions by movement in a protruding direction of the second insertion portion; and a third insertion portion that is provided at the container body, is capable of protruding from the other of the two wall portions to a side same as the second insertion portion, and is to be inserted into a third opening provided in a portion of the attachment target facing the other of the two wall portions by movement in a protruding direction of the third insertion portion.
DEVELOPER SUPPLY CONTAINER AND DEVELOPER SUPPLYING APPARATUS
A developer supply container 1 includes a cylindrical portion 2k capable of accommodating a developer; a second discharge opening 4a, provided on the cylindrical portion 2k, for permitting discharge of the developer; a storage portion 4d provided in the cylindrical portion 2k and capable of storing a predetermined amount of the developer through the second discharge opening 4a; a pump portion 3a having a changeable inside volume of cylindrical portion 2k in a longitudinal direction of the supply container 1 to apply a pressure at least to the second discharge opening 4a; a fluid communication path 20a providing fluid communication between the pump portion 3a and the storage portion 4d; and a partition 20 provided in a connecting portion between the pump portion 3a and the fluid communication path 20a for suppressing flow of the air which is produced by pump portion 3a and which is directed to toward cylindrical portion 2k at least in a discharging operation.
