Image forming apparatus including electricity eliminator for eliminating electricity of photosensitive drum
An image forming apparatus includes a photosensitive drum, a charging roller, a development device, a transfer roller, a first electricity eliminator and a controller. The photosensitive drum is provided on a conveyance path along which a sheet is conveyed. The charging roller charges the photosensitive drum. The development device develops an electrostatic latent image formed on the photosensitive drum charged by the charging roller. The transfer roller faces the photosensitive drum across the conveyance path and generates a transfer bias. The first electricity eliminator irradiates the photosensitive drum with light on a downstream side of the development device in a rotational direction of the photosensitive drum and on an upstream side of the transfer roller in the rotational direction. The controller which controls the first electricity eliminator so as to irradiate only a non-sheet passing area of the photosensitive drum with the light.
Light guide device, drum unit, image forming apparatus, and image reading apparatus
A light guide device has a support member, a light guide member, a first abutting part, and a cover member. The light guide member is supported by the support member and has a light incident surface. The first abutting part has the light guide member and positions the light guide member at the first reference position predetermined in the support member by abutting on the abutted part of the support member. The cover member is attached to the support member and covers the light guide member. The cover member has a first biasing part that biases the light guide member in an abutting direction where the first abutting part abuts the abutting part, with the cover member attached to the support member, and an engaging part that engages with an engaged part of the support member while the first biasing part generates a biasing force in the abutting direction.

An image forming apparatus includes an image carrier and a charge removing portion. An electrostatic latent image is formed on the image carrier. The charge removing portion includes: a light source configured to emit light to be used for removing charge from the image carrier; a light concentrating portion configured to concentrate the light emitted from the light source on a surface of the image carrier; and a light source supporting portion formed integrally with the light concentrating portion and supporting the light source at a supporting position in which the light source and the light concentrating portion have a predetermined positional relationship.

STATIC ELIMINATOR PERFORMING STATIC ELIMINATION WITH LIGHT AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS INCLUDING SAME
A static eliminator of the present disclosure includes a light source and a rod-shaped light guide member. The light guide member includes one end surface which light from the light source enters, and emits the light which has entered the one end surface toward an image carrying member. The light guide member includes a reflection portion which reflects light and a light emission surface which emits the light toward the image carrying member. In the one end surface, a concave portion is formed that includes a concave curved surface which is formed in the shape of an arc in a first direction along a direction of light emission extending from the reflection portion toward the image carrying member.
