DEVELOPING CARTRIDGE

A developing cartridge includes a housing, a chip, and a chip connection assembly. The chip is provided with an electrical contact, and at least a part of the chip connection assembly may move relative to the housing as a movable member between a first position and a second position. In the first position, a communication connection cannot be established between the electrical contact and a power terminal outside the developing cartridge. In the second position, the movable member enables a communication connection to be established between the electrical contact and the power terminal outside the developing cartridge. Such a design can prevent damage to the electrical contact of the chip and improve working stability of the chip.

The converting part converts rotating movement of the conveying member to reciprocating movement of the loosening member. The loosening member includes a straight line portion and a protruded portion. The straight line portion is engaged with the conveying member via the converting part and extended downwardly along the replenishing tube. The protruded portion is continued from a lower end of the straight line portion, and bent and protruded in the crossing direction.

The developer is conveyed by the vibration transmitted from the vibration target unit with use of a resultant force generated by adding a conveyance component in the first direction and a conveyance component in the second direction. A maximum acceleration a1 (max) in the first direction that is provided to the developer conveyance plate by the vibration transmitted from the vibration target unit is set to a lower acceleration than a maximum acceleration a2 (max) in an opposite direction from the first direction.
