Projector display systems having non-mechanical mirror beam steering
Dual or multi-modulation display system are disclosed that comprise projector systems with at least one modulator that may employ non-mechanical beam steering modulation. Many embodiments disclosed herein employ a non-mechanical beam steering and/or polarizer to provide for a highlights modulator.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MONITORING A BUILDING STRUCTURE
A system for monitoring a building structure is described. The system comprises a laser source which emits an infrared radiation and an interferometric arrangement which divides the radiation into an object beam and a reference beam. The object beam irradiates the building structure and is scattered by it, while the reference beam interferes with the scattered object beam so as to create a hologram of the building. The system also comprises a sensor which detects a sequence of holograms and a processing unit which reconstructs the evolution in time of deformations or displacements of the building by numerically processing the sequence of holograms. The system—being based on digital holography—offers various advantages compared to known monitoring techniques, for example techniques which make use of seismometers (possibility of remote monitoring, substantial space-time continuity of the monitoring, capacity for detecting a wider range of deformations and displacements).

In embodiments of augmenting a moveable entity with a hologram, an alternate reality device includes a tracking system that can recognize an entity in an environment and track movement of the entity in the environment. The alternate reality device can also include a detection algorithm implemented to identify the entity recognized by the tracking system based on identifiable characteristics of the entity. A hologram positioning application is implemented to receive motion data from the tracking system, receive entity characteristic data from the detection algorithm, and determine a position and an orientation of the entity in the environment based on the motion data and the entity characteristic data. The hologram positioning application can then generate a hologram that appears associated with the entity as the entity moves in the environment.
AUTOMATED REAL-TIME PARTICLE CHARACTERIZATION AND THREE-DIMENSIONAL VELOCIMETRY WITH HOLOGRAPHIC VIDEO MICROSCOPY
An in-line holographic microscope can be used to analyze on a frame-by-frame basis a video stream to track individual colloidal particles' three-dimensional motions. The system and method can provide real time nanometer resolution, and simultaneously measure particle sizes and refractive indexes. Through a combination of applying a combination of Lorenz-Mie analysis with selected hardware and software methods, this analysis can be carried out in near real time. An efficient particle identification methodology automates initial position estimation with sufficient accuracy to enable unattended holographic tracking and characterization.
Vehicle mountable holographic promoting system
A vehicle mountable holographic promoting system and method of use; the vehicle mountable holographic promoting system includes a body with at least one light, a mount, and a controller in communication with a software application and the body. The body is mountable to the vehicle via the mount. The mount is able to be removably attachable or otherwise secured to roof of a vehicle. The controller controls the body such that the body is able to visually promote via an image display at least one promotable item using the at least one light. The promotable item appearing to float on a plane above the vehicle.
Temperature stabilized holographic sight
A holographic sight comprises a unitary optical component carrier having a plurality of receptacles for receiving optical components. A collimating optic abuts a surface of a first receptacle. A mirror abuts a surface of a second receptacle. A collar is positioned in a third receptacle and a laser diode is positioned within the collar. A first portion of the collar is affixed relative to a first portion of the third receptacle and a second portion of the collar is free to expand and contract relative to the third receptacle. The laser diode is affixed to the collar proximate the second portion and is free to move relative to the third receptacle with expansion and contraction of the second portion. The laser diode, the mirror, and the collimating optic are positioned relative to each other to create an optical path.
Focus Adjustment Method For Holographic Imaging System
A focus adjustment method for acquiring an image of a surface of interest of a sample by a holographic imager includes the steps of: placing the sample including at least one reference object having a known shape and described by characterising parameters having at least position parameters acquiring an image and determining the position of the reference object with respect to the acquisition plane, by applying a light diffraction model involving the spatial parameters of the reference object estimated by approximating the appearance of the reference object in the holographic image acquired, and determining the position of the surface of interest with respect to the acquisition plane from a position of the reference object and focus adjustment of the image acquisition.
Quantum simulator and quantum simulation method
A quantum simulator includes a pseudo speckle pattern generator, a main vacuum chamber, an atomic gas supply unit, a light beam generator, a photodetector, and an atom number detector. The pseudo speckle pattern generator generates a pseudo speckle pattern in the inside of the main vacuum chamber by light allowed to enter the inside of the main vacuum chamber through the second window. The pseudo speckle pattern generator includes a controller, a light source, a beam expander, a spatial light modulator, and a lens. The controller sets a modulation distribution of the spatial light modulator based on a two-dimensional pseudo random number pattern.
HOLOGRAPHIC IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD AND HOLOGRAPHIC IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS
Provided is a holographic image processing apparatus including a memory configured to store at least one instruction, and a processor configured to execute the at least one instruction stored in the memory to generate a corrected holographic image by correcting an original holographic image captured by a holographic camera based on a neural network configured to learn hologram correction in advance.
VIDEO DISPLAY AND METHOD PROVIDING VISION CORRECTION FOR MULTIPLE VIEWERS
A video display system for providing vision correction for multiple users may include a display device having a holographic layer and a vision correction layer. The system may also include a processor coupled to the display device to receive a first prescription corresponding to a first user and a second prescription corresponding to a second user, and to modulate the display device so that the first user at a first angle and the second user at a second angle can view a non-distorted image from the display device.
