The embodiment may also include identifying an orientation of a display surface of a mobile device and a relative position of the mobile device relative to a viewing direction of the user. The embodiment may further include identifying an optimal viewing angle of display content on the display surface of the mobile device. The embodiment may also include in response to determining the display content is not able to be displayed as a hologram, aligning the display content as text based on the optimal viewing angle. The embodiment may further include presenting the aligned display content as text to the user.
PROJECTION CONTROL METHOD AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE
Projection control method, electronic device, and storage medium are provided. The projection control method includes obtaining a first depth data corresponding to a reference object; obtaining a second depth data corresponding to a remote object; determining a first scaling ratio corresponding to the remote object according to the first depth data and the second depth data; and performing a holographic projection on the remote object according to the first scaling ratio and the second depth data, to obtain a first projection image.
PUPIL EXPANDER INTEGRITY
A system and method includes a display device comprising a spatial light modulator arranged to output spatially modulated light to form an image. The system further includes a waveguide pupil expander configured to receive spatially modulated light from the display device at an input port thereof and to expand the viewing window of the system. The system further comprises a controller. In examples, the controller is configured to control the spatially modulated light output by the display device, such as to control (e.g., turn off) a light source of the display device, in response to a signal indicating detection of the breakage of glass. The signal indicating detection of the breakage of glass may be generated in response to the detection of stray laser light of the holographic system by an eye-tracking system.
HOLOGRAPHIC DISPLAY APPARATUS, HEAD-UP DISPLAY APPARATUS, AND IMAGE PROVIDING METHOD
A holographic display apparatus includes a backlight unit having a light source configured to emit coherent light, a spatial light modulator configured to diffract incident light from the backlight unit and generate a holographic image, a beam deflector configured to change a traveling direction of the incident light from the backlight unit to change a focal position of the holographic image, an eye-tracking sensor configured to recognize positions of a viewer's eyeballs, and a controller configured to perform, in real time, calibration of the eye-tracking sensor and the beam deflector to focus the holographic image on the recognized positions of the viewer's eyeballs.
IMAGE DISPLAY METHOD AND APPARATUS
An image display method includes: obtaining an input operation by a first user on a virtual interactive object displayed on a first display surface of a transparent holographic display screen; determining, in conjunction with the input operation, a movement trajectory of the virtual interactive object, a first appearance state feature of the virtual interactive object relative to an eye position of the first user, and a second appearance state feature of the virtual interactive object relative to an eye position of a second user, after a current moment; displaying the virtual interactive object having the movement trajectory and the first appearance state feature on the first display surface of the transparent holographic display screen; and displaying the virtual interactive object having the movement trajectory and the second appearance state feature on a second display surface of the transparent holographic display screen.
Hologram Calculation
Systems and methods of determining a hologram of an image for a system comprising a display device and viewing system are disclosed. Some embodiments implement a multi-stage procedure comprising (i) determining a first complex light field at an entrance pupil of the viewing system, (ii) determining a second complex light field at a sensor plane of a sensor of the viewing system, (iii) determining a third complex light field at the entrance pupil, and (iv) determining a fourth complex light field at the display plane. Some embodiments include extracting a hologram from a data set corresponding to the fourth complex light field.
Hologram Calculation
Systems and method disclosed herein include, among other features, receiving an image for display within a display area of a display system, determining a first image component of the image, calculating a hologram of the image, displaying the hologram on a display device and spatially modulating light in accordance with the displayed hologram, and propagating the spatially modulated light through a pupil expander arranged to provide a plurality of different light propagation paths for the spatially modulated light from the display device to the viewing area, wherein each light propagation path corresponds to a respective continuous region of the image owing to the angular distribution of light from the hologram.
Holographic display system
A display system for a vehicle includes a display unit mounted to the vehicle and is selectively operable in a first mode as a holographic display and in a second mode as a mirror. Holographic images may include rear view images obtained from a camera or computer generated graphics. Holographic images are displayed at a virtual image plane behind the display to reduce the operator's eyes accommodation.
CAB COMPRISING AN HOLOGRAPHIC HUMAN-MACHINE INTERFACE AND MOTOR VEHICLE
A cab having a human-machine interface to generate a holographic image in order to control comfort equipment installed in the cab. The human-machine interface includes: a camera capable of capturing images representing a gaze of an occupant, one image generation unit having (a) a computer capable of calculating the position of the location of the occupant's gaze from the captured images, the computer being adapted to generate the digital holographic image according to the position of the occupant's gaze, (b) a spatial light modulator receiving the generated digital holographic image, and (c) a light source illuminating the spatial light modulator. The human-machine interface also includes a reflector reflecting the light beams emitted by the spatial light modulator into a visualizing window to form a holographic image positioned between the windscreen and the seat.
DISPLAYING HOLOGRAMS VIA HAND LOCATION
Examples are disclosed that relate to computing devices, head-mounted display devices, and methods for displaying holographic objects using slicing planes or volumes. In one example a computing device causes a display system to display a holographic object associated with a holographic volume, the holographic object occluding an occluded holographic object that is not displayed. Location data of at least a portion of a hand is received from a sensor. The location data of the hand is used to locate a slicing plane or a slicing volume within the holographic volume. Based on the location of the slicing plane or the slicing volume, at least a portion of the occluded holographic object is displayed via the display system.
