CONFIGURATION AND CONTROL OF LOAD CONTROL SYSTEMS
The computing device may be configured to automatically determine curated configuration settings for a scene that is configured to control one or more zones. Each of the zones may be assigned a respective zone purpose. Each zone may be assigned at least one load control device that is configured to control a corresponding electrical load. Each of the one or more zones may be assigned a control type, which may be based on a respective product type and/or load type of the load control devices/electrical loads within each zone. The computing device may be configured to display one or more graphical user interfaces that a user of the computing device may interact with to select a curated configuration option for configuring the scene. The computing device may be configured to automatically determine curated configuration setting for the scene based on the selected curated configuration option and/or the zone purpose.
Safety network controller redundancy in an electronic safety system
A safety network controller is comprised in an electronic safety system. The safety network controller comprises a first serial port and a second serial port, each of which is configured to communicatively connect to a redundant safety network controller via a respective daisy chain network. Each daisy chain network comprises at least one safety device controller that is controlling a corresponding safety device. The safety network controller further comprises network circuitry configured to communicatively connect to the redundant safety network controller via a packet-switched network. The safety network controller further comprises processing circuitry configured to exchange, with the redundant safety network controller: serial communication via each of the daisy chain networks; packets via the packet-switched network; and responsibility for control over one or more of the safety device controllers in response to detecting a failure.
INFORMATION COLLECTING SYSTEM AND INFORMATION COLLECTING METHOD
An information collecting system includes a first device including a counter, a second device that collects data from one or more sensing devices in response to a command from the first device, and a third device including a time-measuring unit that manages time. The first device adds, to the data collected by the second device, a first count value output from the counter at a timing when the second device collects the data, to generate a first data set. The third device adds, to the first data set, a correspondence relationship between a time output from the time-measuring unit and a second count value output from the counter of the first device.
Method and apparatus for proxy execution and computation with an industrial controller
An industrial controller that integrates execution of a control program on the industrial controller with execution of additional functions on an external processing device is disclosed. Integrating the external processing device provides an improved system for third party development of control functions which may be unique to specific applications. The system manages communication between the industrial controller and the external processing device, manages access to data stored in the industrial controller, and makes the details of the integration transparent to the programmer.
Scheduling system and method for online program update
Example implementations described herein involve systems and methods for managing a plurality of programmable logic controllers (PLC), which can involve, for a detection of an update to one or more of a software or a firmware installed on a PLC of the plurality of PLCs being available, determining an impact level of the update to the one or more of the software or the firmware installed on the PLC of the plurality of PLCs; selecting a non-operational time slot for the PLC of the plurality of PLCs based on the impact level, wherein higher impact levels are indicative of requiring a longer non-operational time slot; and scheduling the update to the one or more of the software or the firmware installed on the PLC of the plurality of PLCs during the non-operational time slot.
BUILDING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM WITH DYNAMIC CHANNEL COMMUNICATION
A system for managing communication between building management system (BMS) devices includes a memory and a controller. The memory includes instructions stored thereon. The controller is configured to execute the instructions to implement an agent manager, a zone manager, and a channel manager. The agent manager is configured to generate an agent for each of the BMS devices. The zone manager is configured to define at least one zone relating to a physical location zone or a building control zone. The channel manager is configured to generate a communication channel associated with the at least one zone. The channel manager is further configured to manage registration of an agent to the communication channel, wherein an agent is configured to communicate over a communication channel in response to being registered to the communication channel.
CONTROL SYSTEM, CONTROL DEVICE, AND MANAGEMENT METHOD
A control device that has received a request for starting the execution of a control program issues a comparison request to two control devices that store shared information, the control devices that have received the comparison request each compare unique information created by the own control device with unique information on the own control device contained in a piece of the shared information stored in each control device, and when the comparison result satisfies a prescribed condition, the execution of the control program is permitted.
Interface assemblies for manufacturing components
Embodiments herein are directed to an assembly having a plurality of machines, a first programmable logic controller device and a second programmable logic controller device commutatively coupled to the first programmable logic controller device. The second programmable logic controller device includes a human machine interface having a display and displaying a plurality of user inputs. A processing device communicatively coupled to the display and a storage medium. The storage medium includes one or more programming instructions that, when executed, cause the processing device to prompt a user to select a desired program, to input a desired line speed time, and to input a plurality of line control data. The data is converted into a simulated data and transferred to the first programmable logic controller device, which causes at least one machine of the plurality of machinery to move in a predetermined manner based on the simulated data.
Automation objects for integrated design environments
The present disclosure is directed to systems, methods and devices for facilitating object-based cross-domain industrial automation control. An object library comprising a plurality of objects may be maintained. One or more of the objects may represent physical counterparts for use in an industrial automation process. Each object of the plurality of objects in the object library may have at least one property that an automated control device operation can be programmed to act on. Each object of the plurality of objects may also have at least one property that a human machine interface component can utilize in generating display elements corresponding to the objects for display on the human machine interface. When modifications to objects in the object library are received, those modifications may be automatically deployed and incorporated in controller logic and HMI graphics and control.
BI-DIRECTIONAL CBRS COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM AND METHODS
Efficient two-way communications using broadband cellular technology is provided by adapting cellular components for end-to-end Internet Protocol (IP) addressable traffic. In this manner, the broadband cellular system may be efficiently transfer data over a flat network architecture using end-to-end IP traffic, bypassing features such as network address translation (NAT), tunnelling, and other LTE cellular carrier features.
