Real-time weld quality analysis systems and methods
A weld system includes: a robot control module configured to actuate a robot and move a welder along a joint of metal workpieces during welding, the welder being attached to the robot; a weld control module configured to, during the welding, apply power to the welder, supply a shield gas, and supply electrode material; a vision sensor configured to, during the welding, optically measure distances between the vision sensor and locations, respectively, on an outer surface of a weld bead created along the joint by the welder; and a weld module configured to: determine a strength of the weld bead at a location based on: the distances at the location along the joint; and at least one parameter from at least one of the robot control module during the welding, the weld control module during the welding, and a sensor configured to capture data of the welding during the welding.
Anomaly determination device and anomaly determination method
An anomaly determination device and an anomaly determination method determine an anomaly of a device based on state data of the device, by using a first determination model configured to determine whether a predetermined anomaly has occurred in the device, and a second determination model configured to classify state of the device, and output the determined anomaly of the device as an unknown anomaly in a case where the anomaly of the device is not the predetermined anomaly.
AUTOMATIC WELDING SYSTEM, AUTOMATIC WELDING METHOD, WELDING ASSISTANCE DEVICE, AND PROGRAM
An automatic welding system, an automatic welding method, a welding assistance device, and a program wherein the amount of correction of the welding speed is determined on the basis of the distance between an arc and the tip of a molten pool when the distance between the arc and the tip of the molten pool is within a predetermined range in arc welding performed while alternately weaving a welding torch in the front downward direction and the rear upward direction when the welding progress direction is the frontward direction with respect to a horizontally extending groove formed between two members to be welded aligned in the vertical direction.
Systems and methods for welding asset identification
Systems and methods for welding asset tracking are disclosed. In some examples, a welding asset tracking system may comprise an asset tracking network of tags, hubs, and/or gateways retained by welding assets within a welding area. The asset tracking network may obtain and/or communicate to an asset tracking server welding data related to one or more of the welding assets, as well as position data obtained via an internal and/or external positioning system. In this way, the welding asset tracking server may continually receive updated information regarding each welding assets identity, location, and/or use. The asset tracking server may additionally send a command to a selected welding asset that causes an interface of the selected welding asset to emit an output that enables an operator to physically identify the welding asset.
WELDING POWER SOURCE, WELDING SYSTEM, WELDING POWER SOURCE CONTROL METHOD, AND PROGRAM
A welding power source is configured to supply a welding current to a wire as a consumable electrode. The welding power source includes a controller configured to change the welding current based on a position of a distal end of the wire a distance from which to a surface of a base metal varies periodically, in a case where the distal end of the wire is fed toward the base metal with periodical switching between a forward feeding period and a reverse feeding period.
APPARATUS FOR HELPING SETTING OF WELDING CONDITIONS IN MULTI-PASS WELDING
When setting welding conditions of arc welding, an operator sets the shape of a material to be welded, the specifications of welding, and welding conditions using a teach pendant. An apparatus for supporting setting of welding conditions in multi-pass welding of the present invention automatically calculates the state of the bead layering cross-section including at least one of the number of bead layers, the number of passes, and the layering direction, and the state of the bead layering cross-section including at least one of the number of bead layers, the number of passes, and the layering direction, obtained by the calculation is displayed on a display section.
IDENTIFIER MANAGEMENT METHOD, ROBOT CONTROL DEVICE, AND INTEGRATED CONTROL DEVICE
An identifier management method is executed by a welding system. The identifier management method includes: acquiring information on identifiers of a plurality of original workpieces; randomly selecting any one of the identifiers of the plurality of original workpieces to be adopted based on completion of execution of a welding process using the plurality of original workpieces by the welding system; and setting the any one of identifiers of the plurality of original workpieces, which has been selected, as an identifier of the welded workpiece generated in the welding process.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PART TRACKING USING MACHINE LEARNING TECHNIQUES
Systems and methods for part tracking using machine learning techniques are described. In some examples a part tracking system analyzes feature characteristics related to one or more welds to identify, determine characteristics of, and/or label one or more parts repeatedly assembled by the welds. Identifying parts assembled from the welds may make it possible to do part based analytics (e.g., related to part quality, cost, production efficiency, etc.), as opposed to just weld based analytics, on past welding data. Additionally, identifying a part assembled from several welds results in an ordering of those several welds used to create the part, which can make it easier to compare/contrast similar welds across parts. Further, determining the characteristics of the parts can assist in configuring certain part tracking systems, thereby reducing the expertise, time, and personnel required.
WELDING SEQUENCE GUIDANCE USING THREE DIMENSIONAL MODELS
Systems and methods are disclosed relating to welding sequence guidance using three-dimensional (3D) models. In some examples, a welding sequence program may use 3D models, rather than two-dimensional (2D) images, to guide operators through welding sequences. Since only one 3D model must be saved for each sequence, rather than potentially hundreds of 2D images, substantial memory space may be saved. Additionally, the same 3D model may be used for several welding sequences. Further, the 3D model may be animated to help the operator understand changes in perspective between steps of the welding sequence.
METHOD AND ARRANGEMENT FOR BUILDING METALLIC OBJECTS BY SOLID FREEFORM FABRICATION
Provided are a systems and methods for manufacturing objects by solid freeform fabrication, especially titanium and titanium alloy objects, wherein the deposition rate is increased by using two separate heat sources, one heat source for heating the deposition area on the base material and one heat source for heating and melting a metallic material, such as a metal wire or a powdered metallic material.
