Perceptible indicators of wires being attached correctly to controller
Tools and techniques are described to automate line testing when wiring devices (such as equipment and sensors) to controllers. Controllers have access to databases of the devices that are controlled by them, including wiring diagrams and protocols, such that the controller can automatically check that each wire responds correctly to stimulus from the controller. After testing, a reporting device rapidly shows the results of the line testing.

METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR WIRELESS DEVICE OPERATION
The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for wireless communication at a wireless device of a wireless wearable device. In one aspect, the wireless device may transmit a first report based on one of a location of the wireless wearable device, a time period, or reception of a user-controlled indication to transmit the first report. The wireless device may also receive, based on the transmitted first report, a configuration to switch from a first mode to a second mode. In some aspects, the configuration can include at least one parameter associated with a power savings at the wireless wearable device while in the second mode. Additionally, the wireless device can operate based on the at least one parameter while in the second mode.
Device linked context identification and notification
Provided is device linked context identification and notification. Context data of a user profile of a user is retrieved from an external storage. The context data is analyzed to place user activities of the user and surrounding activities around the user in activity categories and to assign tags for the user activities and the surrounding activities. In response to receiving a notification that shutdown of a first device being used by the user is about to occur, current context data and historical context data are compared to determine whether the current context data for the user is one of typical and unusual and to predict a future action of the user. A device shutdown notice is sent to a second device with the current context data, the determination of whether the current context data for the user is one of typical and unusual, and the prediction of the future action.

Power control circuitry for controlling power domains
A data processing apparatus includes a plurality of power domains controlled by respective power control signals PCS. Power control circuitry includes mapping circuitry which maps a plurality of power status signals PSS indicative of the power status of respective power domains, and received from those power domains, to form the power control signals which are then supplied power domains. The mapping circuitry may be controlled by mapping parameters stored within a memory mapped array. The mapping parameters may specify that a given power control signal is either sensitive or insensitive to the power status of a particular other power domain within the data processing apparatus-2. The mapping parameters may be fixed or software programmable.

DETERMINING OPENING/CLOSING OF COMPUTING DEVICE
Computing devices and methods for determining opening and closing of touch sensitive interfaces are disclosed. In one example, a computing device comprises a touch screen display on a first substrate that is rotatably coupled to a second substrate that includes a trackpad. A trackpad identification signal transmitted by the trackpad is received at the touch screen display, and a touch screen identification signal transmitted by the touch screen is received at the trackpad. If the trackpad identification signal matches a trackpad identification key and the touch screen identification signal matches a touch screen identification key, then an energy level of one or both signals is compared to an energy level threshold. Based at least in part on the comparison of the energy level to the threshold, a power state transition is initiated.
METHOD OF POWER MANAGEMENT
A method of power management includes steps of: in response to receiving from a server host a sleep command, an expander first outputting a predetermined register value to a processing unit in a normal state, and then switching to a power-saving state and outputting an interrupt signal to the processing unit; the processing unit determining whether both the predetermined register value and the interrupt signal are received; and when it is determined that both the predetermined register value and the interrupt signal have been received, the processing unit controlling a power supply to output standby electricity, making the expander and the processing unit operate based on the standby electricity.
