Systems and Methods for Out-of-Distribution Detection
Some embodiments of the current disclosure disclose methods and systems for detecting out-of-distribution (ODD) data. For example, a method for detecting ODD data includes obtaining, at a neural network composed of a plurality of layers, a set of training data generated according to a distribution. Further, the method comprises generating, via a processor, a feature map by combining mapping functions corresponding to the plurality of layers into a vector of mapping function elements and mapping, by the feature map, the set of training data to a set of feature space training data in a feature space. Further, the method comprises identifying, via the processor, a hyper-ellipsoid in the feature space enclosing the feature space training data based on the generated feature map. In addition, the method comprises determining, via the processor, the first test data sample is OOD data when a mapped first test data sample in the feature space is outside the hyper-ellipsoid.
Bootstrapping a simulation-based electromagnetic output of a different anatomy
Systems are provided for generating data representing electromagnetic states of a heart for medical, scientific, research, and/or engineering purposes. The systems generate the data based on source configurations such as dimensions of, and scar or fibrosis or pro-arrhythmic substrate location within, a heart and a computational model of the electromagnetic output of the heart. The systems may dynamically generate the source configurations to provide representative source configurations that may be found in a population. For each source configuration of the electromagnetic source, the systems run a simulation of the functioning of the heart to generate modeled electromagnetic output (e.g., an electromagnetic mesh for each simulation step with a voltage at each point of the electromagnetic mesh) for that source configuration. The systems may generate a cardiogram for each source configuration from the modeled electromagnetic output of that source configuration for use in predicting the source location of an arrhythmia.
System and method for measuring the movements of articulated rigid bodies
A method for determining spatial information for a multi-segment articulated rigid body system having at least an anchored segment and a non-anchored segment coupled to the anchored segment, each segment in the multi-segment articulated rigid body system representing a respective body part of a user, the method comprising: obtaining signals recorded by a first autonomous movement sensor coupled to a body part of the user represented by the non-anchored segment; providing the obtained signals as input to a trained statistical model and obtaining corresponding output of the trained statistical model; and determining, based on the corresponding output of the trained statistical model, spatial information for at least the non-anchored segment of the multi-segment articulated rigid body system. Determining the spatial information may include determining the position and/or orientation of the non-anchored segment relative to the anchor point and/or determining a spatial relationship between the anchored and non-anchored segments.
Method and apparatus of data processing using multiple types of non-linear combination processing
The method includes: obtaining a plurality of pieces of feature data; automatically performing two different types of nonlinear combination processing operations on the plurality of pieces of feature data to obtain two groups of processed data, where the two groups of processed data include a group of higher-order data and a group of lower-order data, the higher-order data is related to a nonlinear combination of m pieces of feature data in the plurality of pieces of feature data, and the lower-order data is related to a nonlinear combination of n pieces of feature data in the plurality of pieces of feature data, where m≥3, and m>n≥2; and determining prediction data based on a plurality of pieces of target data, where the plurality of pieces of target data include the two groups of processed data.
Systems and methods for predicting crop size and yield
A computer system obtains, in electronic format, a training dataset. The training dataset comprises a plurality of training images from a plurality of agricultural plots. Each training image is from a respective agricultural plot in the plurality of agricultural plots and comprises at least one identified fruit. The computer system determines, for each respective fruit in each respective training image in the plurality of training images, a corresponding contour. The computer system trains an untrained or partially trained computational model using at least the corresponding contour for each respective fruit in each respective training image in the plurality of training images, thereby obtaining a first trained computational model that is configured to identify fruit in agricultural plot images.

SYSTEMS, METHODS, APPARATUSES AND DEVICES FOR DETECTING FACIAL EXPRESSION AND FOR TRACKING MOVEMENT AND LOCATION IN AT LEAST ONE OF A VIRTUAL AND AUGMENTED REALITY SYSTEM
Systems, methods, apparatuses and devices for detecting facial expressions according to EMG signals for a virtual and/or augmented reality (VR/AR) environment, in combination with a system for simultaneous location and mapping (SLAM), are presented herein.
System and method for discriminating and demarcating targets of interest in a physical scene
Captured samples of a physical structure or other scene are mapped to a predetermined multi-dimensional coordinate space, and spatially-adjacent samples are organized into array cells representing subspaces thereof. Each cell is classified according to predetermined target-identifying criteria for the samples of the cell. A cluster of spatially-contiguous cells of common classification, peripherally bounded by cells of different classification, is constructed, and a boundary demarcation is defined from the peripheral contour of the cluster. The boundary demarcation is overlaid upon a visual display of the physical scene, thereby visually demarcating the boundaries of a detected target of interest.
