Method for setting layout for physical keyboard by electronic device, and device therefor
Various embodiments of the present invention relate to a method for setting a layout for a physical keyboard by an electronic device to which same is connected, and a device therefor. An electronic device according to various embodiments of the present invention may comprise a display, a communication interface, a memory, and a processor, wherein the processor includes the functions of: sensing, through the communication interface, whether an external device is connected; displaying guide text related to keyboard layout configurations by means of the display on the basis of the function of sensing whether the external device is connected; receiving a key value input by a user through the external device; searching for a layout corresponding to the received key value; and setting the found layout as a keyboard layout for the connected external device. Various embodiments are possible.
CONFIGURABLE POWER WHEELCHAIR SYSTEMS AND METHODS
In one embodiment, a control system for a power wheelchair is provided allowing a user to change the type of input control device throughout a day, week, month, and/or year as their physical and/or mental condition changes. This includes changing input controls from proportional to switch-type devices. A user may start the day when they are not tired with a proportional input control device like a proportional joystick. Then, as the day progresses and the user begins to experience fatigue or exhaustion, the user can change to a switch-type control device requiring less control and dexterity (e.g., less strength and energy) to effectively control the power wheelchair. The user can also start the day with a 4, 3, or 2 switch direction input control and later change to a single switch input control device with scanning. Other combinations are also possible.
Adaptive row enablement for information handling systems
A system, method, and computer-readable medium are disclosed for performing an ancillary user interface adaptation operation. The ancillary user interface adaptation operation includes providing an information handling system with a primary integrated processor system and an ancillary integrated processor system, the primary integrated processor system executing a primary control point service, the ancillary integrated processor system executing an ancillary control point service, the ancillary integrated processor system controlling an ancillary user interface via the ancillary control point service; determining when a user initiates a change to the ancillary user interface; and, configuring the ancillary user interface in response to the change initiated by the user via the ancillary control point service.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING MULTIPLE PIECES OF EQUIPMENT
An electronic device and a method of controlling multiple pieces of equipment are provided. The electronic device is coupled to an operating device, a first controlled device and a second controlled device. The electronic device includes an operating interface and a controlled interface. The operating interface is coupled to the operating device. The operating device includes a first operating area and a second operating area. The first operating area is configured to deliver a first operating signal. The second operating area is configured to deliver a second operating signal. The controlled interface is coupled to the first controlled device and the second controlled device. The first controlled device is controlled by the first operating signal. The second controlled device is controlled by the second operating signal.
MULTI-STATE KEYBOARD FUNCTION ROW
A multi-state keyboard function row is provided. A plurality of representations can be formed on an insert of the multi-state keyboard function row. An assembly of the multi-state keyboard function row can be configured to cause either a first set of the representations or a second set of the representations to be visible to a user. A brightness of the representations may also be controlled based on a brightness of ambient light.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE OPERATING METHOD AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE
An electronic device operating method applied to an electronic device. The method includes obtaining hand operation information at least related to a posture of an operator, determining an operation mode of the operator based on the hand operation information, and directing the electronic device to a state corresponding to the operation mode based on an association relationship between the operation mode and a preset operation function of the electronic device.
SWITCHABLE CONVERSION OF A STANDARD KEYBOARD TO A BRAILLE INTERFACE
Keyboards that are selectably configurable between a standard interface and a braille interface. In embodiments, the keyboard is equipped with six keys corresponding to six dots of a braille matrix, each of the keys equipped with a shape memory alloy spring or other mechanism to cause each of the keys to selectably extend above the keyboard plane. On activation, the six keys are extended and the remaining keys deactivated, to provide an easy to locate braille interface. On subsequent activation, the six keys are retracted and the keyboard is reverted to a standard interface. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.
Keyboards for virtual, augmented, and mixed reality display systems
User interfaces for virtual reality, augmented reality, and mixed reality display systems are disclosed. The user interfaces may be virtual or physical keyboards. Techniques are described for displaying, configuring, and/or interacting with the user interfaces.
CROSS DEVICE INTERACTIONS
The present disclosure generally relates to engaging in cross device interactions. The method includes at a first device with a first display, while a second device having a second display is placed over a first region of the first display, detecting, via input devices of the first device, a first input. In response to detecting the first input and in accordance with a determination that the first input occurred while focus was directed to the second device, the method includes causing a response to the first input to be displayed on the second display. In response to detecting the first input and in accordance with a determination that the first input occurred while focus was directed to the first device, the method includes displaying, on the first display, a response to the first input without causing a response to the first input to be displayed on the second display.
