TOUCH INPUT DEVICE AND DISPLAY DEVICE USING THE SAME

A touch input device includes a communication module receiving external light characteristic information. A code detector emits infrared light and receives infrared light reflected from a display panel to detect code patterns of the display panel. A light emitting driver controls an infrared light emission operation of the code detector. A code processor modulates an emission control signal so that an infrared light emission characteristic of the code detector is changed according to a change in the external light characteristic information and controls driving of the light emitting driver.

Provided are a positioning method for a laser pen light source, and a display apparatus. The positioning method for a laser pen light source comprises: acquiring first position information and second position information of a laser pen light source; acquiring first photosensitive information and second photosensitive information; and determining target position information. By means of the present invention, target position information is determined according to first position information, second position information, first photosensitive information and/or second photosensitive information, such that a laser pen light source is positioned, and laser pen light sources with different positions are distinguished.

Projection control device, projection apparatus, projection control method, and projection control program

A projection control device that controls a projection portion which projects an image to a projection surface includes a ray position detection portion that detects an irradiation position of a ray irradiated on the projection surface, and a specific image superimposition control portion that superimposes a predetermined specific image on a region corresponding to the irradiation position in the image. In a state where the specific image is superimposed on a first region corresponding to a first position detected by the ray position detection portion in the image, the specific image superimposition control portion, in a case where the irradiation position moves out of a predetermined range including the first position, moves the specific image to a region corresponding to the irradiation position that has moved, and in a case where the irradiation position moves within the range, continues superimposition of the specific image on the first region.

Display structure having a laser light wavelength conversion layer

A display structure having a laser light wavelength conversion layer includes a display in addition to the laser light wavelength conversion layer. The display has a backlight module and a display panel provided on the light output side of the backlight module. The display panel has a color filter and a light-permeable protective layer formed on the light output side of the color filter. The color filter has a plurality of color sub-pixels. The laser light wavelength conversion layer is formed between the color sub-pixels or on or in the light-permeable protective layer. The display, therefore, can function as a fabric-based projection screen by allowing a laser pointer to generate a visible light point on the images displayed by the display during a presentation.

Interactive display system

An interactive display system includes a display device and a user device. The display device includes a controlling unit and lighting units, and the controlling unit transmits a color signal to the lighting units. When the user device emits an active light signal to the lighting units, the lighting unit that receives the active light signal lights up according to the color signal. Namely, when the user uses the user device to emit the active light signal to the lighting units of the display device, the lighting units illuminated by the active light signal can light up. Therefore, the user can use the display device as a canvas, and the user can draw a picture or write a memo on the display device for interacting with the display device of the interactive display system.

SENSORY STIMULI DEVICES FOR THE VISUALLY IMPAIRED

A method for improving spatial awareness of a user during drawing includes obtaining, using one or more sensors, position information of a drawing instrument relative to a drawing canvas. The method includes determining, using one or more processors, a first vibration intensity when the drawing instrument is within a first region of the drawing canvas based on the obtained position information. The method includes determining, using the one or more processors, a second vibration intensity when the drawing instrument is within a second region of the drawing canvas based on the obtained position information. The second vibration intensity can be larger than the first vibration intensity and the second region can be distinct from the first region. The method includes generating, by a sensory device, a vibration based on one or both of the first vibration intensity or the second vibration intensity.

An interactive system includes a portable device configured to be carried by a user as the user travels through an interactive attraction. The portable device includes a trigger device and first ultra-wideband (UWB) circuitry. A central system includes second UWB circuitry and one or more processors. The one or more processors are configured to determine a location and an orientation of the portable device within the interactive attraction based on communication between the first UWB circuitry and the second UWB circuitry, receive an indication of actuation of the trigger device via communication between the first UWB circuitry and the second UWB circuitry, and display a virtual projectile on a display screen of the interactive attraction based on the location and the orientation of the portable device during the actuation of the trigger device.

Intelligent stylus beam and assisted probabilistic input to element mapping in 2D and 3D graphical user interfaces

Systems and methods for implementing methods for user selection of a virtual object in a virtual scene. A user input may be received via a user input device. The user input may be an attempt to select a virtual object from a plurality of virtual objects rendered in a virtual scene on a display of a display system. A position and orientation of the user input device may be determined in response to the first user input. A probability the user input may select each virtual object may be calculated via a probability model. Based on the position and orientation of the user input device, a ray-cast procedure and a sphere-cast procedure may be performed to determine the virtual object being selected. The probability of selection may also be considered in determining the virtual object. A virtual beam may be rendered from the user input device to the virtual object.
