Development tool
A neutral file generally includes information related to a object of development. The neutral file may be based on a reusable module. The neutral file may pass information between reusable modules. A computer may conduct an analysis using the reusable module and information in the neutral file. The computer may display the result of the analysis on an external device.
SELECTIVE SUBSTITUTION OF LEGACY LOAD MODULE PROGRAMS WITH CLASSES FOR EXECUTION IN A JAVA VIRTUAL MACHINE
The disclosure provides a method for the selective substitution of legacy load module programs with classes for execution in a Java virtual machine.
Hybrid computing device selection analysis
Methods, systems, and computer program products for hardware device selection in a computing environment are provided. Aspects include receiving, by a processor, a request to execute a programming code, wherein the processor is operating in a hybrid computing environment comprising a plurality of hardware devices. A performance model associated with the programming code is obtained by the processor. Runtime data associated with the programming code is obtained by the processor. The runtime data is fed in to the performance model to determine an execution cost for executing the programming code on each of the plurality of hardware devices and a target hardware device is selected from the plurality of hardware devices based on the execution costs.
CONFIGURATION OF A MODULAR PLANT
A method of providing a control software configuration for a module of a modular plant, the method including, in a module engineering phase: receiving a user definition for the module; and automatically generating the control software configuration for the module based on the user definition, the automatically generating including: specifying parameters for the module that are not specific to any target system; and providing the control software configuration as a controller-agnostic configuration file for subsequent binding of controller software instantiated according to the controller-agnostic configuration file to a hardware controller of the module when the module is integrated into a target system during a plant engineering phase.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, STORAGE MEDIUM, AND CONTROL METHOD
A method for an information processing apparatus in which a hybrid application having both a function of a native application and a function of a web application operates and that is communicable with a server, the method includes transmitting, upon acceptance of a predetermined user operation, an acquisition request for information about the web application to the server, reading information about the native application saved in advance in the hybrid application, and displaying information generated from the acquired information as a response to the acquisition request and the read information, as a result of the predetermined user operation.
Application tune manifests and tune state recovery
In accordance with one or more aspects, a request to run an application is received. The application has an associated tune manifest that identifies one or more resources that the application may use. The tune manifest is compared to a device resource record, and a check is made, based at least in part on the comparing, whether the one or more resources identified in the tune manifest can be satisfied by the device. If the one or more resources identified in the tune manifest can be satisfied by the device, then the application is run; otherwise, a notification of a conflict between the application and the device is presented. Additionally, when the application exits, a device tune state that identifies a content source to which the device was tuned prior to running the application can be retrieved and the device restored to this device tune state.
Side-by-side execution of same-type subsystems having a shared base operating system
A method includes receiving an API call including a request to resolve an API set contract to an associated host binary file, where the API set contract defines a set of APIs. The method further includes evaluating a runtime context of the API call to determine an application identifier for an application that initiated the request to resolve the API set contract to the associated host binary file. The method further includes executing elements of a first host binary instead of a second host binary responsive to determining that the API call was placed by a first application and executing elements of the second different host binary instead of the first host binary responsive to determining that the API call was placed by a second application.
Batch registration and configuration of devices
Methods, systems, and computer-readable media for batch registration and configuration of devices are disclosed. A plurality of devices are detected over one or more networks. Data indicative of the plurality of devices is provided through a user interface. Through the user interface, user input is received that indicates a selected plurality of the devices. The selected plurality of the devices are registered with a service provider environment. The selected plurality of the devices are authenticated using device-specific credentials and registered for device-specific accounts with the service provider environment. A configuration profile is deployed to the selected plurality of the devices.
