Sensor device, sensor device management system, and sensor device management method

A processor of a sensor device performs measurement processing by one or a plurality of sensors and transmission processing of sensor data generated by the measurement processing. The sensor device includes a processing routine table that stores a processing routine configured to include, corresponding to an identifier for identifying processing performed by a processor, a type of the processing, an execution trigger of the processing, and trigger information that prescribes a trigger for transmitting the sensor data. The processor controls processing in a processing routine of the processing routine table, based on trigger information, so that the sensor data subjected to measurement processing is immediately transmitted, or temporarily stored in a buffer and transmitted after a predetermined time.

Storage system and method for multiprotocol handling

A storage system and method for multiprotocol handling are provided. In one embodiment, a computing device is provided comprising a plurality of communication channels configured to communicate with a storage system, wherein a first communication channel has a faster data transfer speed than a second communication channel. The computing device also comprises a processor configured to determine a priority level of a command; send the command with an indication of its priority level to the storage system; in response to the command being a high-priority command, use the first communication channel for transferring data for the command; and in response to the command being a low-priority command, use the second communication channel for transferring data for the command. Other embodiments are provided.

METHODS AND APPARATUSES FOR DYNAMICALLY CHANGING DATA PRIORITY IN A CACHE

Embodiments are generally directed to methods and apparatuses for dynamically changing data priority in a cache. An embodiment of an apparatus comprising: a priority controller to: receive a memory access request to request data; and set a priority flag for the memory access request based on an accumulated access amount of data stored in a memory block to be accessed by the memory access request to dynamically change a priority level of the requested data.

TECHNIQUES FOR HANDLING ESCALATION OF INTERRUPTS IN A DATA PROCESSING SYSTEM

Techniques of handling interrupt escalation are implemented in hardware. In at least one embodiment, an interrupt presentation controller (IPC) receives an event notification message requesting an interrupt, specifying an interrupt priority, and referencing a virtual processor (VP) thread. The IPC determines whether the VP thread matches any interruptible VP thread. If not, the IPC conditionally escalates the interrupt requested by the event notification message. Conditionally escalating the interrupt includes determining whether or not the interrupt priority is greater than the operating priority of any interruptible VP thread. If so, the IPC initiates escalation of the interrupt requested by the event notification message to a next higher software stack level by issuing an escalate message. If not, the IPC refrains from escalating the interrupt requested by the event notification message.

SCHEDULING JOBS ON INTERRUPTIBLE CLOUD COMPUTING INSTANCES

Techniques are provided for scheduling multiple jobs on one or more cloud computing instances, which provide the ability to select a job for execution from among a plurality of jobs, and to further select a designated instance from among a plurality of cloud computing instances for executing the selected job. The job and the designated instance are each selected based on a probability distribution that a cost of executing the job on the designated instance does not exceed the budget. The probability distribution is based on several factors including a cost of prior executions of other jobs on the designated instance and a utility function that represents a value associated with a progress of each job. By scheduling select jobs on discounted cloud computing instances, the aggregate utility of the jobs can be maximized or otherwise improved for a given budget.

A data processing system includes a compute blade generating a write command to store data and a read command to read the data, and a memory blade. The compute blade has a memory that stores information about performance characteristics of each of a plurality of memories, and determines priority information through which eviction of a cache line is carried out based on the stored information.

Targeted interrupts for virtual processors

This disclosure generally relates to enabling a hypervisor of a host machine to provide virtual interrupts to select virtual processors or a set of virtual processors. More specifically, the present disclosure describes how interrupts may be provided to targeted virtual processors, regardless of where the virtual processors are currently executing. That is, when an interrupt is received, the interrupt may be delivered to a specified virtual processor regardless of which logical processor is currently hosting the virtual processor.

DEVICE, SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR BUFFERING PROCESSOR INTERRUPTS

Disclosed herein is system for buffering processor interrupts from active input devices, such as Bluetooth devices, so that they are aligned with a video refresh rate. The system may include a processor that operates in a first operating mode (e.g., a low power mode) and, in response to an interrupt request, switch to a second operating mode (e.g., a higher power mode). The first operating mode may be different from the second operating mode (e.g., each with a different level of power consumption). The system may also include a video subsystem, in communication with the processor, that provides video information at a refresh rate. The system may also include an input subsystem, such as a wireless communication system, in communication with the processor, that receives an activity trigger representing an activity of a input device, such as a human input device, and provides, based on the refresh rate, the activity trigger to the processor as the interrupt request.
