System for redeeming a gift value for a gift product at a point-of-sale and related methods

A gift redemption system may include a gift processing server configured to accept a gift value for a gift product for a gift recipient, and permit selection of a retailer from among retailers for the gift product. The gift processing server may also be configured to associate a gift recipient identifier with the gift recipient, and permit selection of a redeemable gift value from the gift value. The system may also include a retailer server associated with the selected retailer. The system may also include a gift redemption server configured to obtain the redeemable gift value and the gift recipient identifier, and cooperate with retailer server to generate a gift discount identifier for use by the gift recipient at a point-of-sale (POS) of the gift product based upon the redeemable gift value and the gift recipient identifier.

Facial profile password to modify user account data for hands free transactions

An account management system establishes an account for a user. The user enters user account information into the account and the account management system establishes a facial template for the user based on an image of the face of the user. The user requests to change user account information at a merchant POS (POS) device. The merchant POS device captures a facial image of the user and transmits the image the account management system, which generates a facial template and compares the generated facial template against the existing facial template associated with user account. If the generated facial template is less than a threshold difference from the existing facial template, the user may update user account information at the merchant POS device, which communicates the updated user account information to the account management system. The account management system associates the updated user account information with the user account.

Systems and methods for providing shared promotion redemptions

Systems, apparatus, methods, and non-transitory media for programmatically grouping consumers are discussed herein. Some embodiments may include a system configured to provide to shared promotion redemptions. The system may include a merchant device with processing circuitry configured to associate multiple consumer accounts with a point-of-sale order. Based on receiving redemption data from a consumer device associated with one of the consumer accounts, the system may be further configured to allow the consumer device to share a selected promotion. For example, the system may determine payment share amounts for each consumer account based on a transaction price of the point-of-sale order and the redemption value of the promotion selected for shared redemption.

A method or a system, automatically and electronically ensures that customer pays for all goods picked up and the customer takes out of the shop only goods paid for. All this is done without the need of a shop teller and finally without the need of a shop supervisor to periodically crosscheck and ensure that the total amount of money collected by the shop teller (within a period) equals the total value of goods disbursed. The resultant of this system are the shop runs can run a totally cashless shop; reduce human resource by a significant percentage; shop can be opened 24/7; no more queues at shop teller points even during peak periods or major sales.

In some examples, a location of a merchant is updated as the merchant moves. A server receives the location of the merchant, and compares that location to the location of a user, so as to determine whether the merchant is located within a first threshold distance or a second, smaller threshold distance from the location of the user. If the user is within the first threshold distance, the server presents a first point of sale (POS) interface to initiate an order from the merchant and present the user with an option to fulfill that order through delivery. If the merchant is located within the second, smaller threshold distance from the user, the server presents the user with a second POS interface that gives the user an option to fulfill the order through pickup instead of delivery.

PRE-AUTHENTICATION OF MOBILE PAYMENTS

An embodiment of the invention may include a method, computer program product and system for transaction authentication. The embodiment may include receiving, by a mobile device from a network server via a wireless access point using a medium-range wireless communication protocol, an indication corresponding to a transaction to execute. The embodiment may include displaying a graphical interface element having an indication of approval to initiate the transaction to execute from a user based on receiving the indication. The embodiment may include authorizing the transaction to execute for a period of time based on receiving the indication of approval to initiate the transaction to execute. The embodiment may include detecting within the period of time, from a point of sale device using a short-range wireless communication protocol, a mobile payment method associated with the transaction to execute. The embodiment may include initiating the transaction based on detecting the mobile payment method.

SYSTEMS AND METHOD FOR PAYMENT TRANSACTION PROCESSING WITH PAYMENT APPLICATION DRIVER
20180012213 · 2018-01-11 · ·

A pre-certified payment application driver code configured to satisfy requirements of a particular level of a credit card data security certification compliance may be integrated with first and second POS applications to generate first and second integrated applications, respectively, as a fully integrated, tested and production-ready solution. Each integrated application meets all levels of data security compliance requirements and enables data security-compliant transactions with end-to-end encryptions by enabling, in response to a POS application initiating a payment transaction, a payment terminal to share an encryption key with a payment server. Each integrated application can receive payment data encrypted with the encryption key, transmit the encrypted payment data to the payment server for processing the payment transaction using the encrypted payment data, and receive a processing result of the payment transaction from the payment server and communicate the processing result to the POS application.

The described device allows a user to set preference and receive the preferences by simply allowing a payment device to communicate with a preference reader.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR USING A BIOMETRIC PAYMENT DEVICE

Systems and methods are described related to using flexible circuity in a payment device. In one embodiment, a payment device comprises a computing device and a memory. The computing device is configured to store a biometric identifier associated with a transaction account. The computing device is configured to at least receive, by the antenna, an interrogation signal from a point of sale (POS) device in order to activate the payment device for a payment transaction. The computing device is configured to determine a scanned fingerprint identifier of a user based at least in part on the interrogation signal activating the payment device and authenticate the scanned fingerprint identifier by matching the scanned fingerprint identifier to the biometric identifier. The transaction account is transmitted to the POS device for processing the payment transaction based at least in part on the authentication of the scanned fingerprint identifier.
