A store low-stock item reporting and promotion system may include a remote device to be carried by a shopper when shopping within a store and may be configured to acquire an image associated with an item. The system may include a server configured to obtain the image from the remote device, identify the item based upon the image, and determine a low-stock condition for the item based upon the image. Upon determining the low-stock condition, the server may generate a low-stock notification and communicate the low-stock notification to another device, and generate a digital promotion and communicate the digital promotion to the remote device.

Promotion planning for managing allocation of inventory mix utilizing an optimization framework

A media management system that generates a plurality of values associated with a promotion impact measure for each of the promotional campaigns based on historical data that is acquired and an expected audience. Inventory unit needs are determined for each of the promotional campaigns that corresponds to a promotion inventory utilization of a plurality of inventory utilization types, based on at least the generated plurality of values. The determined inventory units for each of the promotional campaigns are utilized to dynamically allocate inventory from a defined amount of inventory units among each inventory utilization types to meet a plurality of defined parameters for the defined amount of inventory units for one or more specified durations until an end of the upcoming time-frame.

Inventory management

Methods and systems for managing inventory items within a supply chain are disclosed. One method includes receiving, at a software tool, inputs related to a plurality of inventory items, the inputs including a cost of holding each of the plurality of inventory items at a location type. The method includes determining, individually for each inventory item of a plurality of inventory items, an optimal inventory balance across a plurality of locations, wherein the optimal inventory balance is a predetermined statistical availability level set based on a desired customer availability of the inventory item. The method further includes automatically generating one or more inventory adjustment requests to achieve the optimal inventory balance across each of the plurality of locations for each of the plurality of inventory items.

According to one embodiment, a commodity registration device for a self-service checkout system includes a display screen, a processor, and communication interface connectable to a registration support server. The processor is configured to receive an input of a commodity code identifying an item to be included in a customer transaction, then receive and store commodity detail data from the registration support server. The commodity detail data includes a commodity name and a price of the item corresponding to the commodity code. The processor causes the display screen to display commodity data for items included in the customer transaction in a list format. The commodity detail data of items in the list format associated with a price-cut condition are displayed in a distinguishable manner for those items in the list format that are not associated with any price-cut condition.

Optimization of markdown schedules for clearance items at physical retail stores
11631102 · 2023-04-18 · ·

Methods and systems are described for optimizing markdown schedules for clearance items at physical retail stores. For example, price sensitivity of a current inventory item at a physical retail store may be modeled using techniques that account for differences in operating behavior and data availability at physical stores versus online channels for selling items. When the current item is placed on clearance at the physical retail store, a request for a markdown schedule, including goals for the clearance, may be received. The forecasted price sensitivity of the current item may be adjusted based on actual price sensitivity of one or more past clearance items (e.g., based on actual clearance sales data) determined to match the current item. An optimal markdown schedule for the item may then be determined based, at least in part, on the adjusted price sensitivity of the item and clearance goals.
