The system may be configured to receive, by a performance marketing cluster, first data from a first data source. The system may also receive, by the performance marketing cluster, second data from a second data source. The system may determine, by the marketing cluster, an analysis scheme for the first data and the second data based on the first data source. The system may also determine, by the marketing cluster, at least one of a propensity to act or a recommendation selected from a predefined number of available options for a population based on the analysis scheme and the first data source.

The present teaching relates to generating an updated model related to advertisement selection. In one example, a request is obtained for updating a model to be utilized for selecting an advertisement. A plurality of copies of the model is generated. The model is pre-selected based on a performance metric related to advertisement selection. Based on each of the plurality of copies, a candidate model is created by modifying one or more parameters of the copy of the model to create a plurality of candidate models. One of the plurality of candidate models is selected based on the performance metric. The steps of generating, creating, and selecting are repeated until a predetermined condition is met. The model is updated with the latest selected candidate model when the predetermined condition is met.

In one aspect, a computer can receive a reservation request for a transportation service including an itinerary indicating a first location, a second location, and a first service category of the transportation service. The computer can determine a plurality of reposition estimates for a plurality of service categories including the first service category and one or more potential service categories, each reposition estimate being determined based upon the first location, the second location, and a particular service category. The computer can identify, as a second service category, the potential service category having the reposition estimate lower than the reposition estimate of the first service category in the reservation request. The computer can transmit to the client device an upgrade notification indicating an eligibility to update the itinerary to include the second service category.
