System and method for boundary classification and automatic polyp detection
A system and method is provided for automated polyp detection in optical colonoscopy images. The system includes an input configured to acquire a series of optical images, and a processor configured to process the optical images. Processing steps include performing a boundary classification with steps comprising locating a series of edge pixels using at least one acquired optical image, selecting an image patch around each said edge pixel, performing a classification threshold analysis on each image patch of said edge pixels using a set of determined boundary classifiers, and identifying, based on the classification threshold analysis, polyp edge pixels consistent with a polyp edge. Processing steps for the processor also include performing a vote accumulation, using the identified polyp edge pixels, to determine a polyp location. The system also includes an output configured to indicate potential polyps using the determined polyp location.
SEX IDENTIFICATION DEVICE FOR FERTILIZED EGGS, SEX IDENTIFICATION METHOD FOR FERTILIZED EGGS, AND PROGRAM
Proposed is a technique for performing sexing of a fertilized egg with a high sexing rate at a high speed, based on image data obtained by photographing a contour of the egg. In particular, a fertilized egg sexing method, a fertilized egg sexing apparatus and a program for making a female/male judgment of a fertilized egg according to a contour of the fertilized egg by a computer are proposed. The fertilized egg sexing method includes: extracting the contour based on image data obtained by photographing the fertilized egg at different angles, calculating a short radial from the contour, calculating short radial phase differences corresponding to photographing at the angles, and making a female/male judgment using the short radial phase differences.
Generating and Fusing Reconstructions Using Overlapping Map Segments
Examples disclosed herein may involve a computing system that is operable to (i) receive one or more images related to a global map having a plurality of overlapping map segments, wherein each of the plurality of overlapping map segments overlaps with one or more neighboring map segments, (ii) based on a preliminary location determination for the one or more images, identify at least a first overlapping map segment of the plurality of overlapping map segments that corresponds to the one or more images, (iii) generate a reconstruction of the first identified overlapping map segment based on the one or more images, and (iv) fuse the generated reconstruction of the first identified overlapping map segment together with the first identified overlapping map segment's one or more neighboring map segments based on overlapping map portions between the generated reconstruction and the first identified overlapping map segment's one or more neighboring map segments.
METHOD FOR RECONSTRUCTING AN IMAGE
A method for reconstructing an image includes: defining a foreground area that is associated with an object in an original image; identifying a plurality of contour points that define a contour of the object, and obtaining a centroid of the object based on the contour points; obtaining a plurality of characteristic lines, each defined by the centroid of the object and an end point obtained from the contour points; and rearranging the characteristic lines by aligning the end points on one side to form a straight edge and making the characteristic lines adjoin each other side by side, so as to construct a reconstructed image.
VEHICLE ATTITUDE ESTIMATION METHOD, ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND STORAGE MEDIUM
Provided are a vehicle attitude estimation method, an electronic device and a storage medium, relates to a technical field of data processing, and in particular to fields of automatic driving, intelligent transportation, Internet of Things, big data and the like. A specific implementation solution includes: obtaining first target data, based on point cloud data of a vehicle, the first target data being capable of constituting a target surface of the vehicle; performing attitude estimation on a target body for surrounding the vehicle, based on the first target data, to obtain an estimation result; and estimating an attitude of the vehicle, based on the estimation result. According to the implementation solution, precise or accurate estimation of the attitude of the vehicle may be achieved.
Method of metrology and associated apparatuses
Disclosed is a method of, and associated apparatus for, determining an edge position relating to an edge of a feature comprised within an image, such as a scanning electron microscope image, which comprises noise. The method comprises determining a reference signal from said image; and determining said edge position with respect to said reference signal. The reference signal may be determined from the image by applying a 1-dimensional low-pass filter to the image in a direction parallel to an initial contour estimating the edge position.

Calibration and image processing devices, methods, and systems
In part, the invention relates to systems and methods of calibrating a plurality of frames generated with respect to a blood vessel as a result of a pullback of an intravascular imaging probe being pullback through the vessel. A calibration feature disposed in the frames that changes between a subset of the frames can be used to perform calibration. Calibration can be performed post-pullback. Various filters and image processing techniques can be used to identify one or more feature in the frames including, without limitation, a calibration feature, a guidewire, a side branch, a stent strut, a lumen of the blood vessel, and other features. The feature can be displayed using a graphic user interface.
