FLOOR COVERING
A covering detecting falls comprising a body delimited by edges, a plurality of pressure sensors distributed in accordance with a selected geometry in the body a processor connected to at least some of the pressure sensors and which is arranged to collect state information of these pressure sensors, and at least a first socket and a second socket, each of which is connected to the processor which is arranged in the region of an edge and which is arranged so as to be able to be connected to a socket of another similar component. The processor is arranged so as to associate location information which is taken from this state information with location information of the component receive via the first socket information originating from a first other similar component and transmit, via the second socket, the associated information and/or the received information to a second other similar component.
Contextual response to motion-based event
Systems and methods for configuration for contextual response to motion-based events are disclosed. For example, a predefined event may be detected. The system may determine that a subject associated with the event is of a given type of subjects and may determine whether another person is present in the environment associated with the event to assist in providing aid. The presence of the other person may be detected, a type of the other person may be performed, and a notification may be output on a second device associated with the other person based on the type. The system may track when the other person reach an area associated with the event and may cause the first device to perform an action to assist the other person in providing aid.
Data collecting head guard systems and methods thereof
A head guard is provided. The head guard includes one or more sensors as part of an sensory input and communications system. The head guard wirelessly communicates data to remote computing devices for intelligent data collection.
Modular assistance system
Modular assistance system (1) for a person (4), with at least one mobile unit (2) that has a recognition module (6) for recognizing a functional requirement of the person (4) and provides the function of the person (4) depending on the detected function requirement of the person (4) by means of at least one replaceable function module (7).
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DETECTING FATIGUE IN AN ATHLETE
A method of detecting fatigue of a user during an activity includes acquiring performance data for the user during the activity and computing metrics related to the performance data. The method also includes determining that the metrics exceed a predetermined threshold, generating an alert, and communicating the alert to the user.
Monitoring system
The present invention is a system for monitoring a health state of a subject. The system is provided with: a measuring unit that chronologically measures the position of the subject in a facility in which the subject resides or stays; and an information processing unit that determines a health state of the subject by determining whether a chronological change in the position of the subject satisfies a predetermined determination condition.
Systems and Methods for Predictive Environmental Fall Risk Identification
In various exemplary embodiments the present technology is methods for predictive environmental fall risk identification for a user. In some embodiments the method comprises: (a) receiving dynamic observations of an environmental map using a sensor; (b) determining the environmental map; (c) collecting a set of risk factors for the environmental map using the sensor; (d) assessing the set of risk factors for the environmental map for the user; (e) creating a first training set comprising the collected set of risk factors; (f) training an artificial neural network in a first stage using the first training set; (g) creating a second training set for a second stage of training comprising the first training set and the dynamic observations of the environmental map; (h) training the artificial neural network in the second stage using the second training set; (i) predicting a fall risk of the user using the artificial neural network; and (j) sending an alert to the user based on the dynamic observations of the environmental map and the fall risk of the user.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR IMPROVING INFECTION CONTROL IN A FACILITY
Methods and systems for monitoring procedural compliance of staff in a facility. A system may include a plurality of sensors positioned adjacent a hand washing station. Each of the plurality of sensors may be configured to provide a corresponding sensor output signal that is indicative of whether a person is washing their hands at the hand washing station or not. A controller may be configured to fuse the sensor output signals from each of two or more of the plurality of sensors and to determine using the fused sensor output signals whether the person has washed their hands at the hand washing station in compliance with one or more predetermined criteria or not. The controller may be further configured to output a notification when the controller has determined that the person has washed their hands at the hand washing station in compliance with the one or more predetermined criteria.
Apparatus for detecting wearing of body protection gear
A personal protective equipment wearing detection apparatus is provided which can accurately detect the approach or contact of a person's head by use of a plurality of contact detection sensors. A personal protective equipment wearing detection apparatus 100 includes a headband contact detection sensor 110 and a chin strap contact detection sensor 120, which are mounted on a headband 92 and a chin strap 94 of a helmet 90, respectively. The headband contact detection sensor 110 and the chin strap contact detection sensor 120 are connected to a controller 103 of a detection apparatus body 101. While one of the two contact detection sensors, the headband contact detection sensor 110 and the chin strap contact detection sensor 120, outputs a contact detection signal to the controller 103, the controller 103 connects the other contact detection sensor to GND.
ABNORMAL SITUATION ALARMING SYSTEM
An abnormal situation alarming system includes a detection unit that detects an abnormal situation, an acquisition unit that acquires, when the abnormal situation is detected, information representing the circumstances of the location where the abnormal situation occurred, a calculation unit that calculates the time allowable for handling the abnormal situation from a detection result of the abnormal situation and an acquisition result of the information, and an alarming unit that gives an alarm of the detection result of the abnormal situation and a calculation result of the time.
