Device for Detecting the Grip Pattern When Playing a Bowed Instrument, and Bowed Instrument Comprising Such a Device
A device for detecting the grip pattern when playing a bowed instrument, having a sensor film arrangeable on the fingerboard for detecting the grip pattern. The sensor film is formed from at least one resistance layer, a conductive layer and a spacer layer arranged in-between, and having an evaluation circuit, by which evaluation circuit the resistance changes of the sensor film caused by the grip pattern are able to be detected. The resistance layer is divided into a number of resistance tracks corresponding to the number of strings of the bowed instrument. The width of each resistance track is formed increasing from one end of the sensor film to the other end of the sensor film, and the upper layer of the sensor film is formed by the conductive layer, and the sensor film has a curvature, corresponding to the arch of the fingerboard.

Fret leveling apparatus
A fret leveling apparatus that is configured to provide leveling of frets on a fret board of a stringed instrument such as but not limited to a guitar. The present invention includes a body wherein the body in its preferred embodiment is rectangular in shape. The body includes a first end and a second end and further has an upper edge surface and a lower edge surface. The lower edge surface is operable to engage the frets during use of the present invention and has an adhesive material secured thereto. The body includes a first aperture and second aperture having a first height adjustment member and a second height adjustment member operably coupled therein. The first height adjustment member and second height adjustment member are constructed so as to provide calibrated incremental height adjustment of the body with respect to the fret board once placed thereon through rotational movement.

Device that attaches to stringed instruments preventing the bow from playing over the fingerboard
A device that attaches to stringed instruments, preventing the bow from playing over the fingerboard, is disclosed. The device aids in developing proper bow technique, and only restricts movement of the bow over the fingerboard without restricting movement elsewhere between the fingerboard and the bridge.

FRET PRESS SYSTEM
A fret press system can install one or more frets in grooves of a substrate with a press connected to a caul. The fret may be positioned atop the groove prior to contacting the fret with a caul by operating the press. The fret may initially be forced into the groove with the caul with a first pressure before an incorrect fret position in the groove is detected with a sensor connected to the press. The caul can then be adjusting to correct the sensed incorrect fret position and subsequently used to finish installing the fret in the groove prior to a position of the fret in the groove being confirmed with the sensor.

FOLDABLE STRINGED INSTRUMENT
A foldable stringed instrument having a neck and/or body that may assume a reduced profile by folding an upper neck portion away from the playing position through the use of a translating bridge assembly and a translating truss assembly, wherein the foldable stringed instrument is capable of housing or otherwise being coupled to any of a variety of electronics or electrical components (e.g. a smart phone or tablet computer) having one or more applications (apps) for driving the operation, functionality and/or effects associated with the foldable stringed instrument.
